P0440 OBDII code is for evaporative emissions control system failure.. check your gas cap though, many times a loose gas cap is the culprit with this code, hope this helps some1 out.

The water reservoir in a Fiat Punto 2001 is located under the hood on the driver's side towards the front of the engine. The water reservoir is usually yellow with a black lid attached to it.

I had the same problems with my Punto sx 60, 1998 reg. I bought a complete unit. It will be necessary to unscrew the old one and then replace with the new one. hope this helps.......Claire

Peronally, I suggest you give up and buy a new car entirely- Fiats are cheap for a reason. This time it would be useful to get one with a back windscreen included. Hope this helps.... Melon

remove wheel.on the calipers you will see a pin about the thickness it a paper clip, you need to remove this, it is easiest with pliers then slide the bar out .you should now be able to swing the calipers upwards, remove pads and replace with new pads.if you try to swing the caliper back down into postition at this point you'll notice it's too tight. you need to force the round arm back in(sorry don't know what it is called). this can easily be done with the handle of a hammer or by prising it back with a heavy screwdriver. push it back in don't whack it. once it is far enough in your caliper should slide down. remember it put bar and pin back in and you can replace your wheel

i had the problem with mine my problem was that the key is faulty i only had the blue key so i had to buy a new ecu and lock set and changed the whole lot roughly £100

The mk2 fuel filter is part of the fuel pump and it does not need to be checked/changed

More than likely the electric steering motor under the steering column. If your are in the UK, go to a dealer and get them to use the examiner to check. There were units that were superseded by Fiat for failing (NOT a recall!)

This quite often means your altenater is on the way out and not holding a charge,suddenly you will,without warning have a flat battery.You need to get a garage to check if this is corect.

Carb. I believe it is a down-draft carburetor, but am currently scouring the internet to find out.

The most likely cause is the vacuum pump has failed.

press the brake pedal a few times with the engine off

keep your foot on the pedal and start the car

your foot should drop slightly

if it does not either the vacuum pump or the servo itself is faulty.

u may need to clean up the contacts in the rear light assembly, if htey get water in they tend to corrode and produce a bad earth - my M reg did it but the indicator slowed down ticking as i braked lol. 1. open the boot, feel round the side (behind the rear light assembly) you should feeel 2 bolt heads. 2. remove these. withdraw the light assembly and disconnect the wiring using the clip that attaches it. 3. open up the assembly by removing all the screws round the edges, the light pack should come off an you will see bare bulbs. 4. take out the bulds with a slight twist an look at the bulb holder, if it looks grimey/rusty/off colour then use some sandpaper/aluminium oxide paper to remove the dirt. 5. do all the bulbs an check the metal plates for corrosion. check the wires on the little white box you removed in step 2, to see if they are loose. once cleaned - put it all back together. 6. check the light assembly cover for holes in the plastic, as water getting in to the assembly is a big cause of this type of problem. if you have any holes then getting sum duct tape or sumthing similar will seal them - or go to a scrappers an get a new box - dont pay anymore than £10 for the whole package tho!! hope this helps

open the door then drive into it with another car and it should remove it safely if not just use a hammer

Open panel in front of button for sunroof, there is a manual close inside the tool for closing is on the back of the panel you remove

dont think you can without taking door trim off make sure fuse is ok then switch

If your gasket has blown and overheating occured then skimming will almost certainly be needed. Send it for testing and skimming better to be safe than sorry.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be that the two outlets from the water drip tray in the bonnet were clogged with leaves.

Remove the top and bottom hoses Remove the expansion bottle (2 bolts ) and place to one side Disconnect the fan multi plug The fan needs to be removed by pushing in the top clips where the fan housing slots into the rad. After pushing the black blips lift the fan housing up and away from the rad (work underneath to do this) Remove the front grill comes out easy its just a push fit. Once the grill is removed and working through the apature and looking at the top left and right of the rad remove the 2 torx bolts . Move to the underside once again, You will now be able to lift the rad up and out of the 2 bottom locating holes No need to remove bumper

The best way to do that is open the door borrow another car, and drive into it its the fastest way to remove the door, then the rest is simple

it is in the engine fuse box. number 26 is the passenger window fuse
