The injection pump on the side of the engine also acts as the fuel pump on non turbo Scudos.
Turbo engines also have a pump in the fuel tank. Fuel tank removal is requrired to gain access to this pump.
This noise is caused by the exhaust manifold gasket being perforated adjacent to the flange of the branch of number one cylinder, the noise is being created by high pressure/back pressure in the exhaust manifold escaping betyween the exhaust manifold and the cylindert head- Owen Diesel

just unscrew the two wheel locating lugs on the drum (make sure the handbrake is off) give the drum a gentle tap with a hammer and it will come off with a bit of wiggling, however if the drum is seized on the best option is to screw 3 x10mm bolts into the drum, these holes are located in-between the holes for the wheel nuts, screw them in alternatively so the drum comes away evenly

How do you install a ignition switch 1977 fiat spider?
Remove Phillips screw holding the switch to the steering column. Insert the key in the ignition and turn until the key it is horizontal with the little triangle (or sometimes arrow) located on the face of the chrome bezel of the switch. Next take a small bladed screw driver and press in the slot on the side of the switch. This will push in the locking tab and with the tab pushed in and the key in the proper position you should be able to coax the switch housing out of the bracket. It may take some wiggling and muscle.... and possibly some profanity....
Your car veers to the right or left when you are accelerating and makes a clunking sound?
This is likely to be engine mounts faulty!
they may not be totally persished, but just have gone weak allowing the engine to move more, this is exaduratted by a suddern change of speed or load!
but it could even be worn ball joints, steering column, but things like these you would proberbly notice at other times as well.
you can do a very simple test, though it is not conclusive, by lifting the bonnet and rocking the engine with your hands! this may require some force, there should be hardly any movement!
or not quite so easy and it requires 2 ppl, start car with handbrake on, place foot on brake and somehow rev the engine as well! while doing this slip the clutch in 1st gear
the other person watchs for the amount of movement in the engine bay!
if you are unsure do the same with a known good car of similar model and compare.
engine mounts themselves are not dear to buy but sometimes can be a pain to fit depending on car!
hope this helps a bit
Fiat punto gearbox warning light stays on but the fluid level is correct?
A gearbox warning light that stays on even when the fluid light stays on may mean that there is something more serious going on with your car. Your Fiat should be taken to a mechanic to get checked.
How do i change engine oil on a fiat seicento?
Oil change is easy enough to do. Get yourself a new oil filter and the oil of your choice (i use magnatec GTX). If you look under the car, on the bottom of the engine you'll see the sump. In the middle of that (facing toward the back of the car if i remember correctly) you'll see a stubbt bolt. You'll need an alun key to remove this. I can't remember the size of it, but its big!
Warm the car up, and then leave it stand for a while (so all the oil collects in the sump). Then just stick something to collect the oil under the sump, and preferably some cardboard under that as oil destroys tarmac. Loosen the sump plug, but don't remove it totally as it'll spray oil everywhere!
Once its finished dripping, unscrew the old oil filter (its on the front of the engine, below the exhaust manifold) and spin the new one on. Don't tigthen it too much. Some people say smear a bit of oil onto the seal on the new filter to help it seal.. i forgot to do that on mine! Then just tightn up the sump plug, and refil the engine with oil.

Check the bottom of the caliper on your MIA and see if you can locate the pin. Take of the clip and knock the pin out, then the caliper should be able to be moved to remove the pads.
Why is the water in car radiator rusty?
the water in your radiator is rusty because your antifreeze/water ratio is not correct. Antifreeze serves two important functions: protecting the cooling system at temperature extremes and inhibiting rust and corrosion in the system. When your antifreeze/water ratio is not correct Rust and sediment can accumulate in the cooling system. This can eventually clog your cooling system mainly your radiator and cause your car to overheat, and more serious problems with the over heating. I would suggest flushing your system and adding the correct antifreeze/water ratio mixture. Doing this your self or having it done by proffessional.
The average cost of a base model Fiat in the US is around $20,000. Actual prices vary based on the model and options selected.
Fiat twin cam low oil pressure?
Low oil pressure is common for twin cams - I have owned perhaps 6 twin cam sedans over 20 or so years plus Lancia sedans with twin cams. I can't recall any that would shift the oil gauge with much vigour.
In that respect, I would say then that low oil pressure is no big deal as I have never had any engine bearing problems and have had terrific reliability out of all of them.
I did break a cam belt and had to replace valves on a 2 litre twin cam - this car (Lancia) had very very low oil pressure so I thought I'd replace bearings while I was at it.
I was surprised to find the big ends in perfect condition. . . ( they can wear out, by the way) and that was what I was expecting. What I did find that I was not the first person to work on that engine. I found that the front layshaft shell bearing at the front of the block was destroyed - that bearing is right at the beginning of the oil circuit - most of the oil going there was just squirting back into the sump. The only way that could happen is by not getting the jack shaft pulley in the correct spot when changing the cam belt - no 2 conrod then hits the lump in the jackshaft for the fuel pump and squashes the bearing to bits - bit sad as the lancia didn't have a mechanical fuel pump and the jackshaft only drove the oil pump. . .
When I got to the head and removed the inlet camshaft I found that same brilliant mechanic had secured the camshaft in a vice by the bearing journal - still had the cross hatch marks on it from the jaws of the vice. Lovely. . . The journal was cussed really, so was the oil control to the head and valve clearances could not be set. So apparently if you have extra low oil pressure could be the camshaft journal or squashed jackshaft bearing. . . but do you know what ? I put it all back as I found it and it ran fine for years crossing Australia a couple of times. It went very well, as did the only other lancia I owned ( big ends were rattly on this one)
Fiat Twin Cam engines are not particularly fussed by low oil pressure. I cannot recall having one with great oil pressure 3 x 1600 125, 4x 2 litre, 2x 1600 124Sport 2x 1800 132. I have 1976 1800 132 at the moment ( with low oil pressure !) - they are so rare now sadly
