How do you install pergo floors?
The first step to installing Pergo floors is to lay plywood down as a base. Next, install the foam underlayment. Find the center of the room. Start at the center of the room and work outward.
Yes you can. First are there any cracks in the floor? If so you need to put down an anti fracture membrane otherwise the new tile will just crack again. Second use a better quality thinset, one made for difficult bonding like Stonewall or REflex by Hydroment. If you scratch up the old tile a little it cant hurt. Also it will take more time for the thinset to dry and cure because the moisture has less places to go, the old tile or membrane acts like a raincoat so stay off the tile for at least 24 hours, 48 would be better before grouting.
stickandgo.com now produce a self adhesive wall tile that looks like a ceramic tile and it does not need cementing or grouting and can be applied over existing tiles without getting them off the wall !

Rubbing Alcohol has never harmed my flooring. I have used it on carpet to help remove pet urine, to vinyl flooring, and even on my ceramic tiling. I started using it when I was cleaning a cut and got some on the bathroom floor (that's ceramic), I just used a dry white wash cloth to wipe it up that's when I noticed that it doesn't attract dust back to the flooring so I started using it in my bathroom all the time. I used straight alcohol for a duration of time and it never harmed the tile nor grout, when I'm running low on rubbing alcohol around the house I'll use 3/4 cup alcohol to a gallon of water and it seems to give the same cleaning power. If your trying to clean up a residue off of your flooring my best advice I can give to you is to try to use straight water to break up as much as you can. (I perfer a Shark Brand steam mop due to the heat) and then use the alcohol on your flooring :) *IF that fails, use a couple drops of Ivory Brand dish soap to a gallon of warm water and rub that over your floors with a white wash cloth and let it sit for a few minutes to penetrate the dirt and lift it. *THEN mop that up with straight water and a new mop (or mop head) then apply your rubbing alcohol to the floor to help remove the remaining residue. Hope that will help you to some degree!

To remove a bubble from a linoleum floor, puncture the center of the bubble with a large, sharp sewing needle. Go all the way through the linoleum to allow trapped air to escape. Press from the outside of the bubble toward the puncture to release the air. Once the bubble is flat, place a soft cloth over the bubble area, and using a household iron, press over the bubble until it flattens. Place a stack of heavy books on top of the bubble for 24-hours to set the linoleum.

To carpet an area that is 6 feet by 10 feet How many square yards of carpet do you need?
There are 9 square feet in a square yard.
An area of 6 feet by 10 feet is a total square area of 60 square feet. To carpet this space you will need 6.67 square yards.
However, this may be altered by the fact that the carpet will come in certain widths, and that will determine the actual length of the carpet which is required. For example, if the carpet comes in a width of 10 feet, then there would be no wastage - but if it comes in 8 feet strips then there would be excess involved.
