The question you ask is too involved for a proper answer. You may want to go to a car parts store, or book store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00 Or, go to a Public Library.
censor in the side sliding door needs 2 be changed or the other doors, try narrowing it down to one of thes doors i did.
not quite sure yet but im in the process of installin one with the help of x-speed here in Perth w.a so watch this space and i will tell you very shortly
It does not contain Freon. It contains R134a. There is no need to change the refrigerant. Any A/C service should be done by a qualified technician, with the proper tools and equipment. Please do not attempt any service or repair without the equipment and expertise necessary. Serious burns due to frostbite can occur through contact with the refrigerant.
Possibly could use a wheel alignment, or tire pressure on all tires the same,or it also could be your stabilizer rods need replacing and while your looking at them check your struts and springs.good luck with that.
Stabilizer rod may need replacing, they are right behind the front tires, might as well check both sides.Could just need tightening.
Reconnect everything EXACTLY as it was prior to the manifold replacement.....look for either a disconnected vacuum line or electrical connector to the cruise control servo - check the fuse that supplies power to the cruise control - check for 12v power to the servo (got a test light or a multi-meter ?) hope that helps.....
The interior lights will stay on for about 30 seconds after the door is closed to allow those inside to see what they're doing. If the lights stay on after that, you may have a damaged door switch on one of the doors. You may also have the lights turned on manually, which is accomplished by rotating the headlight knob past the first stop. (Rotating the headlight knob dims or brightens the dash lighting. At maximum dash brightness there is a small "stop" in the knob rotation; rotating past this point will retain maximum dash brightness
There are several things that can cause it. One of the door switches may be misadjusted, the headlight switch adjusted so the interior lights come on or a malfuncton in the headlight switch. You just have to check it out. those things check out fine. is there a module that could be the problem?
More than likely you have a tiny exhaust leak. Could also be a bad lifter but you would hear that at all ranges.
Yes, there is a 10A fuse located under the triangular snap-in panel located on the drivers side of the dash. The panel is accessible when you open the drivers side door. The fuce is in location #18. There is a supplied tool for removing a fuse (typically white and looks like a pair of tweezers). There are spare fuses attached to the inside of the triangular cover.
Check all vacuum hoses and fittings
9 year old vehicle may be wise to replace all hoses one at a time You can get a vacuum pump to test vacuum operated motors under dash
See "Related Questions" below for a complete discussion on possible causes and more importantly: fixes
The early models prior to 92/93. They came with the cis and then the digifant systems. Lacks the economy of todays version though.
look on the passangers side , there should be a black rubber hose that is pre-molded that points down. I had the same problem with my 93 t-bird. the rubber hose had been knocked off and when driving the wind would blow the water back into the drain pipe and on to the floor
The newer vehicles with computers do not allow for idle speed adjustment. If yours is one of those vehicles, you will not be able to adjust the idle speed. On the other hand, if the idle speed is very high on one of those vehicles it could be that the engine could have a vacuum leak.
procedure needs to be perfomed. e:mail kennt57@hotmail.com for complete procedure.
not sure about above ;) but yes also check for dirt/mud settled unevenly on rims
Testing: See Autozone link below for testing procedures
Repair: Sorry, the coil pack is not repairable, it is replaced as an assembly. Approximate cost is $60.
Install notes:
First things first. You must remove the entire windshield wiper assembly first. Start by taking the windshield wiper arms off being careful not to strip the studs they are attached to.
Then you remove the plastic molding piece that directs the water from the windshield (you will need to unplug the fluid sprayer hose from this, they just pull off).
Next unplug the wiring harness that is plugged in to the wiper motor. You can then remove the entire wiper transmission (I think there are 4 bolts holding it in place.
Do not remove and label the wires as it says above but instead take the new coil pack out of the box and plug the wires onto the appropriate post as you remove them from your old coil pack. This way you will not make any mistakes because trust me you don't want to get your wires crossed on this issue. After moving all of the wires to the new coil pack, remove the 4 bolts holding the coil pack and remove the old coil pack from your vehicle. On the bottom of the old coil pack you will probably find cracks as it is the clear epoxy type substance on the bottom that usually gives out first. Place the new coil pack that already has the wires attached and reverse the whole process until you are finished.
What year is your Impala? 2001
That is normal as there is a parking "gear" and that has to hold the vehicle in place when on a hill. There is a lot of pressure on that gear - you are releasing the pressure therefore the large "cluck" when on a hill. Best way to not cause this is put the emergency brake on when parking - release the brake to set the e-brake and then place the van in park to not put the pressure on the transmission.
First U have 2 make sure U have Vaccume @ the belt driven Vac.Pump, then U have 2 repair the Vac.Leak. Some Dodge truck have Vac.lines near the battery & Bat.Acid will make the Vac. line Brake. Some of the Vac.Hoses are in a plastic loom that keeps the hoses & wires 2gether.Loss Of Vac.2 the control is the problem.
I have a 2001 - my problem solution was the vacuum hose that is located right under the weatherstriping for the hood. Just about the center of the block, there is a rubber elbow that faces down and bends to the rear of the truck. The is a small vacuum line that is in a plastic wire loom that should be connected to this elbow. My hose fell out of the elbow and was against the firewall. I re-connected this hose and put a small zip-tie on it(to avoid the problem in the furture) and it now works perfectly! P.S. The 4 wheel drive will not engage the front tires with this hose off either. I found this out the hard way as I got my truck stuck on a slimmy boat ramp trying to pull out my boat!
1) Mark the timing mark on the harmonic balancer white paint marker works best (should be 10 degrees BTDC). 2) Get the engine to normal operating temperature then turn the car off. 3) Pull the PIP (profile ignition pick up) this is the little end cap looking plug that is on the wiring harness next to the plug on your distributor, without pulling this before setting the timing you will be doing more bad than good. 4) Once the PIP is pulled hook up you timing light (probe on cylinder #1 spark plug wire) then restart the car. 5) Crack the hold down bolt for the distributor slightly (should be a 13mm) just enough to spin the distributor and cap assembly clockwise or counter clockwise as needed (caution: if your wires or distributor cap are old beware, you could be in for a real shock literally)point the timing light at the timing marks and pointer (the lower left of the water pump- looks like a little arrow-)monitor the existing timing and set as needed. 6) Turn the car off reinstall the PIP, you are done. For more power set the timing to 12 - 13 degrees instead of 10 but you will need to run high test gas.(But it's worth it) Hopefully this information helps, enjoy your 5.0.
Just to add a little more info, the PIP on a 95 MustangGT is located on the passenger fender well just behind the Mass air box. It is a black plug in with a little grey square peice on the end about 1/2" wide. When you pull it out, put t in your pocket cause you don't want to loose it since you have to reinstall it after you set your base timing.
