What does each color of the German flag represent?
Obviously, there are also plenty of fanciful, pseudo-poetic ideas about the colors.
The colors on the German flag are black, red and yellow. They can be traced back to the medieval banner of the Holy Roman Emperor from about 1402-1806. The three equal bands of red, black and gold consisted of a black double-headed eagle with red claws on a bright golden ground. The golden background is associated with the myth that the eagle can stare at the sun
In 1813 the black-red-gold flag was adopted by some young German nationalists in Luetzow's Freikorps fighting against Napoleon . It became the flag of (liberal) German nationalism of 1815-49 and was widely used by the revolutionaries of 1848-49.
The flag of the first German Republic, the Weimar Republic of 1919-1933, was black-red-gold, but conservatives didn't accept it as the true German flag. They demanded the 1871 black-white-red flag - which the Nazis reinstated in a modified form in 1933.
Other descriptions describe the meaning of the colors as Black for determination, Red for hardiness, valor, strength and bravery, and Yellow for generosity.
These colors are derived from the similar colors of the Imperial coat of arms of the Holy Roman Empire.
What is the most famous caslte in Germany?
Schloss Neuschwanstein, which many Americans call "The Cinderella Castle." It was commissioned by Mad King Ludwig and opened up to the public seven years after his death. The castle was build as a homage to the composer Richard Wagner, and the influences of his work are prominent throughout the castle. It is a beautiful castle (trust me I've been there) hiding amongst the German Alps. A very popular tourist spot full of old murals and furniture. Makes you feel like you're living in a fantasy world.

How did Germany first get involved in World War 1?
It all started with the unification of Germany in 1871.
For the first time since the fall of the Holy Roman Empire, all of the states in the German confederation were unified. This of course established Germany as a European power. Nationalism played an important part in the beginning of World War I. Germany, a rapidly rising power, unsettled the British, French, and Russians.
The Germans had great pride in having achieved so much in the proceeding years, growing from a small band of confederacies into a single, central nation. Kaiser Wilhelm, the German emperor at the beginning of the war, enjoyed unsettling his British and French neighbors by visiting their colonies personally, and attempting to incite revolts for independence. Perhaps the most notorious of these ventures was the Moroccan Crisis in 1905, when Wilhelm landed in Morocco and gave a speech in favor of Moroccan independence. This caused a conflict with the German and French spheres of influence.
Military Alliances were also responsible for the beginning of World War I. The German and French peoples never really were able to cooperate, especially over whose control the mineral-rich Alsace and Lorraine were to fall. France also borders Germany, making these tensions more intense.
The "Three Emperor's League" was the first of the alliances. It linked the conservative monarchies of Germany, Russia, and Austria-Hungary against radical movements. Yet, in 1877 and 78, Russia's victories over the Ottoman Empire threatened the balance of Austrian and Russian interests in the Balkans. During the Berlin Conference, German Emperor Otto von Bismarck played peacemaker between Russia and the weakened Ottomans, as he realized that the system of military alliances in Europe at the time would drag Germany into a war between the two. This peacemaking effort infuriated the Russians, and in turn, Germany formed a defensive alliance with the Austrians (of course the Russians drew out of the Three Emperors' League).
Following this in 1882, Germany, Italy, and Austria form the "Triple Alliance". Also, in a power balancing act against Germany (and Austria and Italy), France and Russia allied in 1894. Then, in 1904, the "Anglo-French Entente" formed a military alliance with the French and the British. Russia, battered by the 1905 Russo-Japanese war, sought to patch up relations with Great Britain, and did so with the Anglo-Russian agreement, which settled boundaries in Persia and Central Asia. This only increased German paranoia by surrounding it with hostile and allied nations.
Imperialism had a hand in beginning world war I as well. Not just because when a home country goes to war, it's colony also does (thus making it a "world" war), but because the new German emperor Kaiser Wilhelm made several tactless public statements about Germany's desire for such obsessions.
Yet another reason Germany was dragged into World War I was it's arms race with Britain. Wilhelm truly believed that the symbol of a major world power was a modern navy, and in 1898, he commissioned the construction of several massive warships. This was taken as a hostile gesture by the British, which in turn caused the British government to expand its navy.
The Short, More Simplified Version:
1) Archduke Franz Ferdinand (the Austrian heir to the throne) visits Serbia (a country occupied by Austria), and is assassinated by Gavrilo Princip.
2) Austria issues an ultimatum of complete and total surrender by the Serbians. They do not comply.
3) Austria invades Serbia. Serbia is allied with Russia, who declares war on Austria.
4) Germany is allied with Austria. Germany declares war on Russia.
5) Germany invades neutral Belgium and Luxembourg (to get a "head start" on the unsuspecting French who were allied to the Russians, and hesitant about declaring war on the Germans), and then France. France declares war on Germany (obviously).
6) Great Britain is allied to France, and declares war in Germany.

Secret message sent from Germany to Mexico in 1917?
It was actually during WWI, called the "Zimmermann Telegram", sent by Arthur Zimmerman to Johann von Bernstorff, who then, secretly, sent it to the German ambassador in Mexico, Heinrich von Eckardt. It was intercepted by the British and decoded to read:
"We intend to begin on the first of February unrestricted submarine warfare. We shall endeavor in spite of this to keep the United States of America neutral. In the event of this not succeeding, we make Mexico a proposal of alliance on the following basis: make war together, make peace together, generous financial support and an understanding on our part that Mexico is to reconquer the lost territory in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. The settlement in detail is left to you. You will inform the President of the above most secretly as soon as the outbreak of war with the United States of America is certain and add the suggestion that he should, on his own initiative, invite Japan to immediate adherence and at the same time mediate between Japan and ourselves. Please call the President's attention to the fact that the ruthless employment of our submarines now offers the prospect of compelling England in a few months to make peace." Signed, ZIMMERMANN

Brown bears and wolves used to be native to Germany and there have been instances where a bear and a 2 packs of wolves migrated into Germany. But in the case of the young brown bear nicknamed "Bruno" he was shot shortly after entering Bavaria from the Alps, plus the press followed him day and night so people were never in any danger from him. The 2 small packs of wolves near the Polish border that are native to Germany live on military training grounds that are closed off to the public. They also have been subjected to hunting by prejudiced forest keepers. Children and old people would need to see a doctor. Instances where people have died from a bite are even rarer than the snake and were usually linked to some pre-existing medical condition like kidney or heart problems or allergic reactions.
Why is the Black Eagle the national bird of Germany?
It's in fact a black and red eagle on golden background, similar to the national colors.
The eagle is the symbol of the Roman Empire. The First Reich, the so called Holly Roman Empire of German Nation, had the same coat of arms. That's the reason why both German countries, Germany and Austria, have a black eagle as coat of arms ( the Austrian version looks different of course ).
