Is there going to be a demon in a haunting in Connecticut?
There was a demon in the real story, my name is jenny i watched the true story about it a couple days ago. Truthfully, i don't think that the movie will be anything like the real story. It will just take one little thing from it. then when they say it is based on a true story, people will get scared a bit easier. There are some very specific things that you can use a guideline to determine if a haunting is real.
- Strange noises - People experience strange noises like footsteps, strange voices and howls or cries.
- Doors that open and close mysteriously
- Lights that turn on and off
- Objects appear and disappear
- Strange smells
- Being touched or feeling cold or hot spots
- Changes in your mood or a person living in the house

This is a great question. The "at night" part is important. We sometimes experience a state of mind in which we are floating between wakefulness and sleeping/dreaming. That common and unpleasant feeling of wanting to run in a dream, and being completely unable to move, may be part of this. When we experience this while trying to get to sleep, these experiences are called "hypnagogic". When we experience them toward the morning when we are waking up, they are called "hypnopompic". What you describe could be hypnagogic in nature. they feel very much like they could be real events, and they can be freightening. However, they are harmless. Those who are good go to a place where they are rewarded for their goodness and live an afterlife of peace and tranquility. They also believe those who are evil go to a place where evil is rewarded for the evil it has done while on this earth. However, neither place would ever be preferable by the other - No Good being would ever wish to go to the Evil place, nor would anything Evil wish to be in the Good place. Well I currently work there and have to tell you that Belmont is haunted. I have had experiences there and have talked to many night shift custodians that have to wear head phones while they work for they don't go crazy with all the sounds they here. A few years ago they were renovating the auditorium and one of these night shift custodians told me that a construction worker came running out of the auditorium screaming and white as he have seen a ghost. The custodian asked him what was wrong and he answered, "There is a little girl dressed in white playing hop scotch on the stage." That construction worker has never been back to work in the auditorium
