What is gluten free diet and why it's important for health?
The reason for not eating gluten is when you have Celiac disease. Celiac disease is a digestive disease that damages the small intestine and interferes with absorption of nutrients from food. People who have celiac disease cannot tolerate gluten, a protein in wheat, rye, and barley. Gluten is found mainly in foods but may also be found in everyday products such as medicines, vitamins, and lip balms.
If a food is gluten free it means it doesn't contain gluten or any grains containing gluten.

Is Bovril gluten free soy free egg free?
Unless the product is specifically branded gluten free, check the ingredient label. Bovril is made a division of Unilever, which has a corporate policy of clearly disclosing any source of gluten. They include the name of the gluten grain in the ingredient list. Look for the words wheat, rye, barley and oats.

Grains are NOT so important. We evolved not by eating grains, but by eating protein & fat. The carbs we did get came from fruits & veggies.
