Alignments the manufacture suggests every 6 months. I work at a place that does alignments and I only do them if I see irregular tire wear (might be too late at this point), or if the truck pulls, but the alignment could be out and the vehicle goes straight down the road. So there is no Good answer. I would at least get an alignment done when new tires are installed and/or new front end parts are done. Hope this helps.

- Remove the 5 blower motor and tan assembly mounting bolts (2).
- Remove the blower motor and fan assembly.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
- Install the blower motor and fan assembly.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
- Install the 5 blower motor and fan assembly mounting bolts (2).
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in) .
- Connect the electrical connector (1).
- Connect the cooling tube to the blower motor.
- Install the rear coolant recovery reservoir mounting stud.
- Install the coolant reservoir.
- Install the VCM or the PCM.
- Perform the heater function test. Refer to Function Test.

Blower Motor and Fan Replacement (RPO C60 and C68)
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
- Remove the VCM.
- Remove the coolant reservoir.
- Remove the rear coolant recovery reservoir mounting stud.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
- Position the VCM harness connectors out of the way.
- Remove the blower motor access cover retaining screws.
IMPORTANT: Cut through the cover as straight as possible because the access cover must be replaced.
Part of this repair is visible to the customer. In order to prevent damage to the component, do not cut any deeper than necessary in order to remove the access cover.
- Cut through the cover on the cut line (1) using a razor blade or a sham utility knife.
- Disconnect the cooling tube from the blower motor.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor and fan assembly.
- Remove the blower motor and fan assembly mounting bolts.
- Remove the blower motor and fan assembly.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
- Install the blower motor and fan assembly.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
- Install the blower motor and fan assembly mounting bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in) .
- Connect the cooling tube to the blower motor.
- Install the blower motor access cover.
- Install the blower motor access cover retaining screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in) .
IMPORTANT: Do not use RTV. Apply the adhesive bead as straight as possible. Allow the adhesive to set for 15 minutes or until the adhesive becomes tacky.
- Seal the cut line using black weather-strip adhesive.
- Connect the electrical connector to the blower motor.
- Reposition the VCM harness connectors.
- Install the rear coolant recovery reservoir mounting stud.
- Install the coolant reservoir.
- Install the VCM.

I take the old filter out with the ring still attached and after measuring the location of it on the old filter I carefully tap that ring off. Measure the location on the fne filter and slide the ring back on tapping it carefully to the same location as on the old filter. Then reinstall the filter sliding the lines into each end and then attach the ring to the frame with the bolt, tighten the fitting on each line, start the vehicle and check for leaks.
The fuel filter is attached to the frame of the truck right below the door post of the driver side door. It is an in-line filter and is held on by a plastic strap that holds the filter as well as the return fuel line to the gas tank and (I believe) the brake lines that go to the rear wheels. I was not able to slide the old fuel filter out of the plastic clamp when I tried to change the filter, but there may be a trick that I don't know about. Anyone else know how to slide the filter out of the plastic clamp?
- On a 1995 GMC Sonoma the fuel filter is located below the drivers seat and is attached to the mainframe via a plastic clamp. The fuel lines may have pressure, use caution when disconnecting. The fuel lines provide some flexibility and will allow the filter to go in and of the the plactic clamp. In addition, the fuel lines will determine the alignment of the filter above and beyond the ability of the plastic clamp.
