Can you show you you need to replace your knock sensor where is is located on a 97 Nissan Maxima?

The knock sensor is located in the valley between the cylinder heads underneath the intake manifold. If you look in on the driver's side, it's the little black sensor with wires coming out. The connector for it is by the front cylinder head (follow the wires). They say you have to remove the whole $%^&ing intake manifold at a labor rate of 4 hours to get at it. GM Scanner found code CO660 how do you fix it?

Find where the compressor assembly is on your vehicle. Unplug the connector with all wires. Set your DVOM to ohms and check the resistance on the compressor side of the connector of the light blue wire and the gray wire..... it should be 18-45ohms. That is the exhaust valve solenoid which the computer throws code CO660 when it's bad. There's no repair for it, just replace the whole compressor assembly.

if you diagnose the GM by GM MDI, you can repair it or reset by some obd2 code scanner from vipprogrammer.com

What does the trailer button do on the end of the column shifter?

I believe that the trailer button changes the shift points in the transmission so that the vehicle stays in low gear longer during periods of high stress (i.e. acceleration or prolonged uphill climbs).

Verify this with a GMC mechanic, but in the absence of an answer from someone who knows for sure, I would use the button when pulling a trailer.

AnswerIts called tow/haul mode. When towing or hauling something use this it changes the rpms so its easier on your motor and trannie when towing or hauling!

What happens if you have no oil pressure i.e your oil pump goes out?

You will loose oil pressure and the engine will starve for lubrication. The result will be a lack of oil to the bearings, rings, and valve train. This will cause the engine to overheat, more than likely blow a head gasket, and the bearings, rings, and valve train will wear very quickly. If you continue to drive the car the engine will eventually lock up. The end result will be an engine that is severely damaged and will need a major overhaul to put it right. The good news is that if you shut the engine off as soon as you see no oil pressure then no damage will be done. A new oil pump and it will be fine.
