The gorilla. It weighs 400 pounds and stands around 4 to 5 ft tall on all fours (shoulder height), while a wolf weighs 150 pounds and has a height of around 3 ft tall at the shoulder.
How slow are gorillas in land speed?
The AVERAGE top speed of a chimpanzee on the ground is about 25mph*.
The fastest speed ever recorded for a man was about 27mph.
Note that the chimp speed was an average, this means there are both faster and slower individuals. The human record was a single man and there was no faster individual.
It is fair to say that on average they would be about the same. The same would also be true for the time at which both species can maintain this speed. Humans are moderately poor sprinters, as are chimpanzees.
anthrosciguy adds:
* edited to note that I have never seen a reference for the speed of a chimpanzee running, and I've asked professional primatologists. Please include a reference for this statement if it exists.

No, a bear can run much faster than a human.
However, most problems with bears come from territoriality, food aggression (they want your food), or if you make the truly epic mistake of getting between a mother bear and her cubs. As all these are "positional", you can easily avoid confrontations with bears. The human Musculoskeletal system maxes out at 27 miles per hour (theoretical) After that the pressure your muscles must provide is strong enough to break the bones it's trying to move. The fastest human on record runs about 23mph. So even in theory for you vs. bear; Bear > You.
...Yes it is possible to outrun a bear, because I've done it. In fact, I may be the only written documented case with an official eyewitness and police report. I outran the bear over a stretch no less than 100 yards, possibly much longer. I don't know what my clock speed was as I was fighting for my life. As for my musculoskeletal system, I pulled several ligaments in my leg in the process according to the doctor who treated me. The bear itself may have weighed between 350-400 lbs. and was very large, an adult. So it is possible, but you have to be extremely lucky.
DISCLAIMER: In case anyone wants to try this out for kicks, I don't ever recommend it. Because you probably will not live to tell your tale. 99.998% sure it will either kill or maim you very severely for life. Please don't attempt it as animals in the Wild are extremely dangerous. Don't ever taunt a bear thinking you can outrun it. They are not your domesticated pet. They kill to eat and to survive. They eat anything which fulfills this need...including you.
They may on occasion, but are nowhere near the man killers that lions, leopards, and tigers are.
