Pigeons belong to one of the four main branches of animals - birds. And as we all know, birds are somewhat similar to mammals as they are able to carry out homeostasis and can regulate many factors in their body, including water potential of the blood, pH value of the blood and of course body temperature. This therefore shows that pigeons are warm-blooded.
it depends on what fruit you want to give them. For example apple, a little bit wont hurt but not too much or they might get a sore tummy, DO NOT FEED THEM THE PIPS! i also know that cucumber is OK, (mine will do anything for the stuff!) so here is a list of fruits i give my quails
apple
cucumber
grapes
fig (of the tree and straight to them)
broccoli (yes its not a fruit but they love the stuff)
lettuce (same as broccoli)
hope this helps :)

Can chicken eggs hatch after the 21 days?
Chicks will not always hatch out on the 21st day. Sometimes we have had to wait an extra week for the chicks to hatch, however this could be due to us not marking the correct date on the calendar. If the Mother Hen gets off the nest make sure you crack the eggs open (With extreme care) as the chicks could still be alive and ready to come out. If the hen is on the nest for 4 weeks i'd recommend taking her out and ensuring she doesn't go back on as this is extremely bad for her health.

The Pennsylvania Assembly adopted the Ruffed Grouse as the Commonwealth's official state bird on June 22, 1931. Mrs. Harry J.
