Video is picture and audio is the sound. Home theater receivers have RCA composite or component, S-Video or HDMI for the video input, and RCA analog, Toslink (optical) or coaxial inputs for digital audio.

Domestic speakers tend to color the sound and this makes them less suitable for critical listening. On the other hand, the coloration makes them easier to listen to and adds characteristics that make them more appealing to listeners. The difference between monitor speakers and other domestic speakers is rather less pronounced these days. Often, domestic speakers are marketed as a "monitor speaker" to reflect the accurate sound they produce. PA speakers are designed to deliver high power over longer distances than studio or domestic speakers. They use drivers designed to be robust, cope with high input power and the cabinets built to withstand the worst that a road crew can do to them. Not only will most PA speakers look out of place in a home but they will normally sound very harsh compared to those designed to work in smaller rooms. However, every listener has a different opinion of sound quality and every speaker has different characteristics. Sometimes, a speaker designed for one task may perform equally well in other situations. One example is the Bose 900 speaker series. Designed for domestic use, it was also produced as the Bose 802 - a commercial PA speaker. Loved my some, hated by others, these speakers are still used in a wide range of applications from hi-fi to live music and even outside events.

You need to be more specific. Where is the FM antenna on what? The FM antenna at a radio staion could be on a mountain. FM is called line of site transmission. Meaning, it shoots a beam , or wave, in a staight line to your antenna on your car or house. So, FM can be heard even if you are going through a tunnel, provided there are no mountains to block the signal. It is also called Frequency Modulation. AM is Amplitude Modulation. It is bounced up and down between the atmospere and the ground, until it hits your antenna. So, AM can even be heard if mountains block your signal. It simply bounces over and on top of them to your antenna. Where is your car?

Most 32" Coby TV/DVD combos have the screws already inserted in the back of the TV. Unscrew these four screws and use them to attach the TV to the wall bracket.

Older televisions do not have HDMI connectors as they are a relatively recent development. Most will have an analog input, on RCA connectors or a scart connector (A multi-pin connector used widely in Europe) The analog connections will normally accept composite video, S-Video, component or RGB. In almost all cases, they will be for standard definition signals only. Most Bluray players have an SD output as well as an HD output. The HD output will be on HDMI and the SD will be one of the analog connections listed above. Check the manual to find out what outputs are offered and compare them to the television inputs. Select RGB or component if you have those options. S-Video is the next best option and composite if you have no other connections. Remember that using an analog connection means that you will not be getting an HD signal so don't expect to see the benefit of Bluray without an HD television.

That's your speaker protector system. When something's not right (usually a shorted speaker wire) or the speaker itself is defective, it senses it and stops the receiver from applying power to the speakers to keep it from burning out the power amplifiers.

Cubby FROM DarthMurdicide: The absolute easiest way to find out if it is a wiring problem without having to disconnect and reconnect wiring on the backs of the speakers or the receiver is to use the TEST TONE function to test the individual speakers. It is a tone that to me is not stressful to the speakers, so I put the volume to MAX for the test and check each individual speaker. If it is a wiring problem, when you get to the speaker that is either blown or the wiring is grounded out somewhere (either at the back of the speaker or the back of the receiver, or somewhere in between), the PROTECTOR message will light up. I verified this procedure last night. I did the TEST TONE's for each individual speaker on MAX volume, and sure enough when I got to the surrond back left speaker, the PROTECTOR mesage came on. I pulled the in-wall speaker out, and sure enough the tweeter wiring terminal had been bent back during installation and was touching the crossover cap, causing a short. I bent it back, and voila, no more PROTECTOR message.

This is due to unstable electrical conditions existing within the stereo receiver during the power-up phase: capacitors must charge up, the power supply must self-regulate for the load being applied to it, and transistors "fill up" on electrons (among other things). If this state is allowed to reach the speakers somehow (most amplifier circuits feature a 'quiescence' pin which simply mutes whatever happens on the signal lines), it manifests as various auditory sensations.

If the circuit is making proper use of the quiescence pin, the speakers will sometimes 'pop' instead, once the operating criteria are met and the muting is released. Most of the time, if there is any sound coming in from a source, it will gradually reach full volume when the muting is being released.

There is no certain way to tell if is plasma just by looking at it. A flourescent backlit LCD TV looks just like a Plasma TV. You can Google the model of the TV or look at the manual.

This is probably because you are shooting at a resolution that is higher than the resolution your monitor supports. You could either:

1. Shoot at a lower resolution.

2. In Photoshop click Ctrl+Alt+I then enter the desired resolution.

Lumen is a simple way to indicate the amount of light the projector has to produce the brightness of the picture. The higher the number the brighter the picture.

Yes they do make wireless surround sound. If you purchase wireless receiver box you will have speakers that are in the front (which doesn't need to be wireless since it's connected to you TV) and you have the right and left which rest behind you. The wireless receiver box connects to a power outlet and sends the single to the two rear speakers. This setup eliminates running speaker wires from the receiver to your speakers.
