What are the primary behavior patterns prior to suicide?

As a person that suffers from a Personality Disorder I have displayed para-suicidal behaviours fairly frequently. The answer to this question is not easy. Dependant upon the state of mind that is causing the suicidal tendency it can range from reaching out desperately to withdrawing completely. I do not believe there is any singular behaviour that can alert people to a possibly suicidal person. However, there may be certain signs that can point to it. For these behaviours, it would be better to refer to the various mental conditions that precipitate suicidal thoughts.

This may sound very ambiguous, however, we are very unpredictable creatures and our states of mind are even more so.

I hope this goes some way to explaining the mind of a suicidal person... I personally have both withdrawn before attempting suicide and also behaved in a way that draws attention to my pain.

Sadly, if someone really wants to commit suicide, they will eventually succeed.

Having said that, if signs ARE recognised, and there is early intervention, a person may choose to rethink their decision if they are offered options that they had not, or were not able to, recognise previously.

You increase your humility by reminding yourself of several things:

  • You're just a human being like everyone else

Are men with muscles better looking then skinny men?

  • It is not necessarily true that men with muscles are better looking than skinny men or average shaped men. Chemistry is what makes two people fall in love and personality of the man is a high priority and not necessarily a #10 body. Men who work out to keep their shape do so a great deal and often have little time to spend with a girlfriend unless she is into body building. A slim man with some muscle seems to be far more attractive than a man with bulging muscles and veins sticking out all over the place. One should go with chemistry and the personality and if muscles are there then it's simply an added bonus, but if not, you're not missing out on a lot.

How do you stop being pessimistic?

The way is to start paying attention to your thoughts. Whenever you have a negative thought, stop yourself -- actually think "Stop!" and then think of a positive thing about whatever that is you're thinking about. Try to think of the word realistic - make your positive thoughts logical and realistic explanations instead of negative gloom-and-doom thoughts.

For example, say you invite a friend to go to a movie and they say no -- your negative thought might be "They don't really like me" -- you say "Stop! They might have other plans, or they might just be busy or they might not like that particular movie."

Are white Americans racist?

they'd like to think they aren't but I feel as they have some views of a racist type nature. They also believe in a huge amount of stereotypes about other ethnicities based on false facts. I wouldn't exactly call them pure racists, but they sure aren't friendly to non-whites and come off as they think they are "better" than anyone who isn't "white". I wouldn't define them as the textbook definition of a racist, but I would say many of them are quite ignorant and misinformed.

Why do girls make such a fuss about being seen in their underwear even though they wear skimpy bikinis?

It's about choice and context. Girls wear bikinis for specific activities like swimming, sunbathing, or being at the beach. Underwear is typically considered more private and intimate, so being seen in it without consent can feel violating. It's essential to respect personal boundaries and understand the difference in the intended purpose of lingerie and swimwear.

Sounds funny but try hardcore if you please. See, women like a man who seems like he can take on anything by its horns and some men who are strong mentally and/or physically tend to be jerks. Some of then are jerks because of too much male ego and some of them because they think they can take over the world. In the end you should know not all men are jerks and not all jerks are attractive.

What is your opinion of the idea that the ability to face hardship is an essential human quality?

I would agree with that statement. The ability for humans to face hardship is evident in many cases in life. Survival of the fittest is all about facing off with the best. Only through hardships will someone know how to face them again. This is also evident in your immune system. if your immune system didn't face any virus or harmful bacteria, well, you would probably be dead the first second your bloodstream came into touch with a harmful specimen
