Are white Americans racist?

they'd like to think they aren't but I feel as they have some views of a racist type nature. They also believe in a huge amount of stereotypes about other ethnicities based on false facts. I wouldn't exactly call them pure racists, but they sure aren't friendly to non-whites and come off as they think they are "better" than anyone who isn't "white". I wouldn't define them as the textbook definition of a racist, but I would say many of them are quite ignorant and misinformed.

Why do girls make such a fuss about being seen in their underwear even though they wear skimpy bikinis?

It's about choice and context. Girls wear bikinis for specific activities like swimming, sunbathing, or being at the beach. Underwear is typically considered more private and intimate, so being seen in it without consent can feel violating. It's essential to respect personal boundaries and understand the difference in the intended purpose of lingerie and swimwear.

  1. Political socialization: The process by which individuals acquire their political attitudes and beliefs from family, friends, media, and other sources.
  2. Cognitive biases: These can include confirmation bias, where individuals seek out information that supports their existing beliefs, and the halo effect, where a voter's overall impression of a candidate influences their perception of specific policies.
  3. Group identity: Voters may be influenced by factors such as political party affiliation, race, ethnicity, or religion, which can shape their voting decisions based on the perceived alignment of a candidate with their group's interests.

Is it true that women are biologically attracted to jerks?

Sounds funny but try hardcore if you please. See, women like a man who seems like he can take on anything by its horns and some men who are strong mentally and/or physically tend to be jerks. Some of then are jerks because of too much male ego and some of them because they think they can take over the world. In the end you should know not all men are jerks and not all jerks are attractive.

Is there any good things to do?

What is your opinion of the idea that the ability to face hardship is an essential human quality?

I would agree with that statement. The ability for humans to face hardship is evident in many cases in life. Survival of the fittest is all about facing off with the best. Only through hardships will someone know how to face them again. This is also evident in your immune system. if your immune system didn't face any virus or harmful bacteria, well, you would probably be dead the first second your bloodstream came into touch with a harmful specimen

Have attitudes toward violence changed since the 11th century?

Attitudes toward violence have evolved over time, with societies today generally advocating for non-violent conflict resolution. In the 11th century, violence was more prevalent and often seen as a more acceptable means of resolving disputes compared to modern times. The development of legal systems, human rights movements, and increased awareness of the impact of violence have contributed to a shift in attitudes towards violence.

Why do you sometimes accidentally call someone by a different name?

This is called a "slip of the tongue" and usually happens when you are concentrating so hard about what you are going to say next that you forget to tell your brain what to say now! It's very common. You most often hear this from a parent who is so angry that they can't say the right name of the child they're fussing at!

What happens if you imprint with someone?

When you imprint with someone, it feels like the imprintee is your gravity and she/he is the only thing holding you down to earth. Actually, it is very much like love at first sight but very different. You protect the imprintee with all your heart and will even wait for the imprintee to feel the same way. A imprint is very hard to break so imprintee's, dont break his/her heart.

Why Humans Need Religion?

OpinionFaith and purpose. Humans by nature need to have a reason for things. If there is no heaven, why live a "good" life? Why not be sinful? There has to be someone (God) responsible for the normal occurrences in our lives. For example, people die because it was their time; But, who decided it was their time?and why? People need to believe that if they do good things, good things will happen. Aside from this, I believe that religion (Christianity) was invented as a way to control the masses. So that the catholic church could keep people from killing each other. OpinionLike it or not we are born with a little light inside of us and it either can be nurtured by the parents or snuffed out. It's there like it or not whether we choose to call it God or by some other name. Without faith we are not whole individuals and when one has faith in a Supreme Being they never feel alone. I'm 65 and I've seen some miracles and they just didn't happen by accident. Even seeing a baby born is a miracle in itself and these things just didn't plop onto our planet.

A poll taken proved that children brought up with faith did far better in their education skills and other skills throughout their lives than children that didn't.

I do not believe that religion was created to control people. Westerners are still pretty much free to do as they wish within the law and if you live in a country that is ruled by an iron fist then blame your government and not God. If you want better, you have to fight for it!

Opinion

OpinionBecause thinking is a hard task, and they need someone else to do the thinking for them. OpinionMany people have trouble not knowing the purpose for life, not accepting there is no "purpose", not knowing how life began, not knowing what happens when we die or why things happen. They are terrified at the thought that they are alone in the universe. They need to believe that someone is in charge.

Religion gives life purpose for some people. It gives people who are not self-directed and self responsible rules to follow. It allows people to create explanations that make them more comfortable with the uncertainty of life and helps them answer unanswerable questions with man-made truths. They think they can't be good on their own: they need someone telling them to be good and if they're good they will be rewarded in the next life. That is why religious faith is, what it must be, the unquestioning acceptance that something is true in the absence of proof.

Unfortunately, the reality that most people need religion in their lives has made it an important tool for control: of women, of children, of political power and indeed, of whole populations. Skilled "pastors" have managed to charm huge populations of the faithful, taking in millions for self enrichment. Suicide bombers kill thousands of innocent victims while carrying out their religious beliefs. It must be acknowledged that malicious or benign, religious fervor has been the basis for human actions for millennia.

On the plus side, religion helps form cohesive communities where they may not otherwise exist. Members find a support system when they are in need and churches are responsible for all kinds of meaningful charitable work for the needy and downtrodden and less fortunate individuals that populate the earth.

It is rather impossible to calculate how many hours the whole entirety of the human race has spent playing World of Warcraft and its expansions. It is impossible because you would have to have a log of each and every persons playing time, since the game started, and there has been over 11 million (at one time) playing the game.

Decorate the bathroom with feminine items-- dolls, stuffed animals, cute "girl" sayings and drawings. Don't worry, even if you're male it'll work. LOL

Otherwise, why not have a conversation? But remember, since the bathroom is in HIS house and HE pays the bills, it is technically not 'your bathroom' anyway, it is his.

What did Joseph Wolpe's proposed theory based on classical conditioning?

Joseph Wolpe's theory, known as systematic desensitization, suggests that fears and phobias can be treated by gradually exposing individuals to anxiety-provoking stimuli while teaching relaxation techniques to reduce anxiety responses. By pairing relaxation with the feared stimulus in a hierarchical manner, individuals can eventually re-associate the feared stimulus with relaxation rather than fear. This process aims to create a new, non-anxious response to the previously feared situation.

What does it mean when a person cannot answer a simple yes or no question They answer elaborately but still not answering the question?

They might fear offending you, or they might not be sure, or it is possible that a simple answer doesn't actually mean anything in this case.

For instance, if you ask a man who has never abused his family, "Have you stopped beating your wife?," a simple yes or no answer isn't sufficient. He needs to present more context and help you understand that the question itself is invalid.
