What do you replace or check if you cannot get an RPM signal during a smog check for a 1995 Chrysler Sebring LXi?

There can be two reasons for not getting a rpm signal... 1. PROBLEM W/ VEHICLE: The smog machine uses an inductive pickup system to track engine RPM signals. This system involves a non-intrusive method of gathering data. The smog technician rather then tapping directly into the ignition system uses a tool call the inductive pickup which is attached to the exterior of the number 1 spark plug wire over the wires insulation. The unit senses electronic pulse through the wire and relays the data to the smog machine. One reason the signal can not be detected may be due to low voltage. This could mean your vehicle needs new spark plugs and wires, and perhaps a new ignition coil. A smog check repair station can use an engine ignition analyzer to determine if this is the case. 2. PROBLEM W/ SMOG MACHINE: The second reason for a lack of RPM signal might be due to a faulty inductive pickup. This would require the smog station to utilize a non faulty tool. The verify whether the problem is due to the smog machine or you vehicle would require a hands-on diagnosis of both the smog machine and/or vehicle. How effective is mirena?

BC pills are 98% effective without a condom.

Mirena is 99% effective without a condom. Mirena is one of the most effective methods of birth control out there right now.

Not to 'ninja' this question, but I had the same question, and I wanted to clarify, are these numbers implying that the male can ejaculate in the female without a condom and maintain that level of effectiveness at preventing pregnancy (as you would with a condom), or are you not supposed to ejaculate in the female? Sorry if that sounds lewd, but my wife and I use the Mirena, and are genuinely trying to find out if I'm supposed to be able to ejaculate in her and have a 99% chance of preventing pregnancy, or if the intended use does not allow me to ejaculate in her and keep that 99% effectiveness? Thanks.

Yes, you can ejaculate in your wife while she is on the Mirena. That's the whole point of getting it and yes it's still 99% effective.

These percentages are for sexually active women - hopefully a woman who is non-sexually active has 100% chance of not becoming pregnant! A sexually active woman who is correctly using an effective method of BC (BCP, IUD, Depo shot, patch, ring, implant) whose partner always uses a condom has just about 100% chance of not becoming pregnant.

The Mirena works in two ways - the IUD itself alters the lining of the uterus. Next by constantly emitting a low dosage of hormones similar to those in some BCPs - cervical mucus is thick and sticky so inhospitable to sperm, the hormones also prevents the ovary from releasing eggs - no ovulation - no pregnancy.

Women who have an IUD should use a condom if they are not in a monogamous, committed relationship - having multiple partners (or having a partner who has multiple partners) increases the risk of infection that could lead to sterility.
I have been on it for 4 years now....and no pregnancy. The periods are few and far between which raises a concern to me. I do not think that it is healthy to have a period once every 4 or 5 months. The duration of it is 5 years and I am in my 4th years, so I would say that the odds are in the favor of the label description.
Mirena is an IUD or Intrauterine Device. It is a birth control alternative. No form of birth control can guarantee to be 100% effective.

Like any form of contraception there is a very small chance you can get pregnant with a Mirena coil, I understand the risk is about 1 in 1000 women using this type of contraception will get pregnant in a year. If you do get pregnant using the coil you should seek medical advice immediately as there is a chance that the baby can be harmed by the coil.
I can personally attest to getting pregnant with the Mirena. I had the Mirena in place for almost 4 years and I recently found out I was pregnant. The removal of the IUD was successful but I still ran into complications after 7 weeks the doctor could not detect a heartbeat. Last week because the sack would not pass naturally, I had to have a D and C to remove the sack. Though this may be a horror story for me, I have read about successful pregnancies while getting pregnant with a IUD. I am now faced with what form of birth control to take when I return to my follow up appointment, but I will say I am actually considering another IUD.
Unlikely but possible if the IUD has moved without your knowledge, however you are supposed to check the threads frequently to prevent this. More effective than the pill.
Yes, it has happened to me twice. Both ended in miscarriages

Yes you can, I am 5 weeks pregnant with it in place.
No birth control is 100% effective. There's always a chance that you may get pregnant.
IUDs are one of the most effective forms of birth control available. Better than 99% effective, or less than 1 out of 100 women will get pregnant each year if they use the ParaGard or the Mirena IUD.

The IUD doesn't protect against sexually transmitted infections. Using a condom along with the IUD will reduce the risk of infection.

If you have an IUD and believe you maybe pregnant you should schedule an appointment with your health care provider as soon as possible.
Yes. It is less likely, significantly less likely, but it can happen. This can happen if it is not working properly, if it is not inserted properly, or there is a defect. Also, nothing is 100% perfect, so there is still a chance that you can get pregnant.

Can you get pregnant on Mirena?

You can get pregnant in any Birth Control even if you use a condom too. All those things do is reduce the chance if pregnancy.

Can you conceive right after an IUD taken out How long after having it taken out will you Ovulate?

It depends on the IUD. The Mirena releases hormones, so upon removal and depending how long in has been in place, it could take some time to conceive, just like the pill. The Copper-T, or ParaGuard IUD, does not rely on hormones to prevent pregnancy. Apparently, copper interferes with the sperms' motility (ability to swim) and creates a "hostile" environment. Since a ParaGuard does not involve hormones, one's ovulation is never interfered with. I am not a health practitioner, but have had a ParaGuard for nearly 8 years and have had an extremely regular cycle and ovulate every month. A dear friend of mine has the Mirena and has actually stopped menstruating after a year of use due to the hormones.

Can the supercharger on a 1994 Oldsmobile be removed altogether and if so will this require any modifications?

Yes, the supercharger on a 1994 Oldsmobile can be removed altogether. However, this will likely require modifications to the intake and exhaust systems, as well as adjustments to the engine's tuning to accommodate the changes in airflow and performance. Additionally, you may need to replace or modify components such as the intake manifold, belts, and possibly the engine management system to ensure proper operation after the removal.

What will happen if you have an IUD and a condom gets stuck?

The IUD will provide the same protection against pregnancy. As usual, it won't provide protection against sexually transmissible infection.

Does an IUD have chemicals?

Everything in our world has chemicals, including your body. IUDs also have chemicals. The copper IUD's active ingredient is copper. The hormonal IUDs release levonorgestrel, an artificial progesterone.

What does it mean if you see IUD?

If you can see your IUD, it is not protecting you from pregnancy. Use a backup method and see your health care provider to discuss effective options for pregnancy prevention.

Is an IUD located in the cervix or uterus?

The IUD should be at the uterine fundus, the deepest part of the uterus. It is not located in the cervix unless it is being expelled.

How often is an egg fertilized with a hormonal IUD which is then typically lost?

Hormonal IUDs primarily work by preventing ovulation, which means that eggs are rarely fertilized. When ovulation does occur and an egg is fertilized, the hormonal changes induced by the IUD can prevent implantation in the uterus. While it's difficult to quantify exactly how often this occurs, studies suggest that it is a very rare event, as the primary mechanism of action is to stop ovulation rather than to influence fertilized eggs. Overall, hormonal IUDs are highly effective in preventing pregnancy, with failure rates of less than 1%.

What are the chances of getting pregnant after 6 years of having the Mirena coil in?

Most recent evidence shows it continues to be effective for up to seven years. Talk with your health care provider about when you should have it replaced, if you are still not thinking of getting pregnant.

What happens when you have not had your IUD checked in mouths?

Regular IUD checks are not necessary. Typically you get checked just once after insertion.

How long does birth control take to work after having a IUD out?

Truly, the birth control pill doesn't regulate a period. It replaces your natural cycle with its own cycle of no bleeding and bleeding. Unless something else in your body changes, you are likely to return to your previous menstrual pattern once you go off the pill.

That said, you may have irregular, unscheduled bleeding in your first three months on the pill. After that, you should settle into a more predictable pattern. Some women think the pill will guarantee that their period always arrives on, say, every fourth Tuesday. That may happen, but it's not likely to be thatregular.

If after three months you're still experiencing breakthrough bleeding, or if it's troublesome in the first three months, contact your health care provider to discuss the possibility of changing to a pill with a different hormone profile.

Can you be in danger if your strings break off on your paragard?

No, there is no danger if the strings break off the Paragard. If you can't find them, though, it's more likely that they're just inside the opening of the cervix, rather than ripped off.
