When was North America's first UFO sighting?
It was the mid to late 19th century, while driving a tractor a teenager found a crash site and it caused a huge stir for quite a while. This one is almost as well documented as Roswell NM in 1947. Actually the first documented sighting was in the 1800's I think in Texas not sure but i was watching the history channel and they were the ones who said the first documented sighting in the 1800's but without the communication ability as we have today not many knew about it.

Most of the time, the hoof placement is merely to make the horse and rider look good.

If your window is facing towards the street or even to the side, it could be a car passing by. If not, then its probably an alien waiting to abduct you. I'd advise you to sign up for karate so u can beat up the alien that tries to capture. However if its not a UFO, maybe its something in you room reflecting off the window like a watch or something shiny.

From what I have seen on UFO programs I don't think so. Or most of them don't. There are several things that they do have in common though. People that have observed them say they are silent or almost silent. They can hover and then accelerate at incredible speeds.

YES YES YES! UFOs DO spin. The reason why they spin is not because its some kind of propulsion system, it's because they are toroid/vortices; vortexes, vapourous, the entity within seems to need another frequency to exist or appear within are air.

So few sightings are actually reported, there are no reliable statistics.
Back up a little, here. UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object. Most often a UFO is an airplane, weather condition, or even a glare off your car's windshield. So, yes, there are UFOs all the time . . . but only until you identify what it is. Once you determine that the UFO is an airplane, say, then it isn't Unidentified any more.
Airports often use the term, "UFO" to refer to objects on their radar that are not airplanes that they know about.
But if you mean a UFO from outside the Earth . . . yeah, they do not exist.

It really depends on the family of the deceased. Sometimes the spouse will make the arrangements if they are able to do this while they are in their grieving period. Often times it will fall to the oldest male child in the family.
What should you do if you see a UFO?
I used to dispatch for police. Since there is no law against being a light in the sky, the police aren't really the best ones to contact. Try your local airport instead. Although I must admit that whenever we sent people to call the airport about their UFOs the airport sent them back to call us again. There isn't really an agency to call for seeing something in the sky you can't identify, which is all that "UFO" means. Unidentified Flying Object."
On the other hand if you see an undeniable *alien spacecraft* (i.e. it has landed and is on the ground close enough that you can see the whites of their eyeballs) this is not a UFO any more, as it is no longer unidentified (although you may not be able to exactly identity what it really is). In that case, take pictures, call the authorities, contact the media, try to stay hidden (no camera flashes, please!) and at least 50 to 75 feet away in case of radiation or whatever. If possible stay upwind so that while they might get your germs, you won't get theirs.
If they approach you, remember you are representing the whole human race, so do NOT act like a panicky idiot. Introduce yourself, tell them that any peaceful strangers are welcome to visit Earth, try to open friendly and respectful communication. If they want to harm you, you are as good as harmed anyway, so you might as well look good and as a human should. Tell them what you do and ask what they do (a polite way of asking 'What are you doing here!" than to say it that baldly). Remember that an alien is just a person from a long way away; it doesn't mean they are villains or horrible in any way.
What will the US Government do if a UFO was to land?
I am guessing that either pandemonium would blow out, or the government would try to keep it under wraps. The movie Transformers gives one possible outcome of the government finding an alien species. In the movie, the government creates a top-secret organization to analyze, observe, and research a robot that they found years ago. No one tells the public, and everything is extremely confidential. So, who knows, maybe a UFO already landed, and the government just isn't telling us. I hope this answer helped. I would like to add that the results of the landing of a UFO or alien spaceship will also depend a great deal upon what these aliens do. Results will differ depending upon whether they are friendly or unfriendly, damaged or intact, comprehensible or incomprehensible, which we cannot predict. They may bring gifts of scientific knowledge, or terrible diseases which they will accidentally release, or they may do things that we cannot even understand. All of these possibilities will elicit different kinds of government responses.

I have heard the same thing and it seems ridiculous. There have been so many wild goose chases in reguard to the Ark and none of them have been genuine. I doubt the American theory is any different.

In a recent move the Gillard Government has made a deal with the Malaysian Government where they will be sent to Malaysia upon arrival. The US Government most likely does have the physical proof but are not about to share it with the rest of the world. Over thousands of years people have seen the same things that are still reported today. It's basically the same story that changes very little. That is usually an indication of the truth. We will learn of UFO's only if the government wants us to know about it. Until then humans keep watching the sky with their cameras hoping to catch a glimpse of alien visitors.

No, I believe it closed about ten years ago as a school for deaf. I remember some of the care staff so kindly especially Sr Finian and Pat who were so good to us in bad times. Some of them were harsh enough.
