Unfortunately the ice cream may have seeped into the smart card slot and destroyed your smart card....as well as any crevices you may not be able to clean. I just hate to be the bearer of more than likely bad news but (hopefully you have insurance on your Iphone) its just going to continue to get worse & break all the way. Better get a new one. I just used a sanitizing wipe on my keyboard a month ago and mine is toast nada dead. And the wipe was barely wet too. It is from AT&T. It's been on its contract with AT&T for a while, but it is hopefully going to be up soon with Verizon Wireless and possibly other carriers.
Some say 'Yes' but those people tend not to own one. Some aspects of it could be, but most are down to the OS but that is constantly being updated and corrected.
A lot of people say the camera is rubbish. I say...It's a phone, not a camera. If you want a good camera, there's something designed just for taking photos. You could counter the argument with, this has an f***ing iPod built in. Not some knock of, hard to use media player. A full blown iPod.
I for one would be happy with one even if it had no camera at all.
