it all depends on what you want to do with your ipod. if you are looking to jailbreak your ipod touch, i think the first generation is best, only because at the time, apple didnt put such internal security into the ipod to prevent jailbreaking. if you are looking for an ipod to play music and games on, and not experiment with jailbreaks, then by all means, get the newer generation.

The videos on those sites are most likely not in a QuickTime format, which means that the video needs Adobe Flash Player, or is from a video hosting site not supported by the iPod Touch, such as Viddler or MetaCafe. It's not the Wi-Fi, it's the iPod Touch.

If your IPod was used it was likely already Sync'd to another persons PC, to reset this, Select settings on your menu, then select General and at the bottom of the General tab there will be a reset button, go into this menu and select erase all content and settings (this will wipe the iphone clean so make sure you make note of anything you want to keep thats on it before hand) a loading bar will come up and depending on how much is on it it takes anywhere between 5 mins and an hour to complete while its processing you will see a loading bar, after the loading bars are finished it will ask you to sync it to the new computer. Ie. Your computer! and you can put your own music and content on it from there!!!

If you downloaded it and didn't back-up, re-download it.

If there's no Wi-Fi in your area, then you can't get Wi-Fi. That is only partially true.....Use a parabolic wifi antenna....you can make this at home with an optional wifi usb adapter on a usb extension cable.

An aluminum parabolic pot (wok) works good.

An abandoned (dishnetwork) satellite dish works best but its gonna suck hauling it around unless you mount it on your car, but then youll get pulled over and find yourself answering for hacker crimes that you have no idea about.

take the adapter, place it in the extension cable, mount it in the center of the (wok) using a fashioned coathanger to hold it.

If you do the Sat Dish route, place it on the reciever unit and use a semi permanent adhesive putty..(picture mounting dough).."craft store".
