You don't, it's a sealed system and you must rely on the warning light I just had to replace my tranny

that isn't correct. you check it from the bottom by starting it on a lift, and topping it off through the fill plug, which is located near the drain plug but higher up. This transmission is also used in GM cars , trooper and rodeo.

There are two fuse blocks, one in the engine room on the right side(passenger) towards the front and the other one is in the cab of the vehicle on the left side(driver).

As you open the door the panel on the left on the dash will have to be removed in order to expose the fuse block.

I have found it to be common to leak from the 'lower' oil pan. It is a two-part pan, with the upper being aluminum, and the lower oil sump being steel. It is this interface where the leak occurs.

Remove the Allen head bolts, clean RTV sealer from the factory, install $10 gasket from parts store with a bit of sealer. Done.

Also, have read of quite high oil consumption figures, so keep an eye on it!!

yes i have a 2004 axiom and i have had a lot of problems with it. expensive problems.

engine oil is 5w-30 but it actually depends on the climate where the vehicle is at. you can go higher or lower viscosity. i preffer synthetic oil..

The ignition coil is inside the distributor behind the cap. Remove the distributor cap screws, remove the cap and you will see the coil.

5 Qt with filter change and 4.2 without

Remove the lug wrench and jack extension bars from under the rear passenger seat.

Open the rear hatch of the car. At the bottom of the opening there is a hole in the plastic bumper molding, assemble the extension bars and insert into the hole, it should engage with the lowering mechanism under the vehicle, there is a slot in the lug wrench shaft which locates onto the extension bars then just wind anti clockwise to lower the spare.

Egr valve Isuzu part number 8-17096-178-3 (MSRP $197.69) is located on top of the intake manifold on the right side(if you are in the vehicle) rear of the manifold towards the firewall.

It is held on by two(2) flanged bolts.

In the center of your dash board the Where the radio is

Switch to TOD and drive about 5mph. Once all 4 tires light, switch to 4H while rolling slowly and in neutral. Might have to step on brake?

Under the intake manifold, under the upper outlet.

On the bottom of the trans pan you will find two plugs, one lower than the other. The lower one is the drain, the upper one is the fill hole. Pump trans fluid into the upper hole until it runs out, then (IMPORTANT), start the car with the parking brake on and the brakes held and shift the car to rev. or drive. Continue filling the trans until fluid runs out. Replace plug and you are ready to go.

It seems to be pretty common. Sounds like you need a new fuel pump. There's a float that sends the signal to the gauge.

My TOD light is flashing. My brother's TOD light has been flashing for over a year. There are only three components that are possible to fail in this system. 1) the TOD computer 2) the viscous coupler (clutch) inside the transfer case 3) the speed sensors on transfer case.

The clutch in the transfer case almost never goes bad, and would be a lot more major to fix, so start with the easy stuff. My brother replaced his computer with a known working computer, still didn't fix the problem. He then bought new (used) speed sensors and installed them. Problem didn't go away. He then checked every single electrical connection in the system, didn't fix it. Installed another known working set of speed sensors (there are two), and that fixed the problem. It seems like this is the most common reason for failure of the TOD system. I haven't located new speed sensors for mine, but I'm fairly certain that is the problem. You can verify by pulling the codes using a code reader, or a simple test light (the code reader is a much easier way and most auto parts stores will run the codes for you).

You need to disconnect (for a few seconds) and then connect again one of the cables (+ or - ) attached to the car's battery - it will reset the anti mobility system.

It is really simple. You simply open your hood reach in behind the headlight lamp, and twist the bulb out and unplug from the wire. Replace with new bulb and reverse the steps.

There are no known affter market head unit for te Axiom due to the AC controls being incorporated. Most users move the CD Deck to the rear cargo area, then the head unit goes in the arm-rest where the CD used to be, this'll only control the AC system. The after market head-unit can then be placed in the dash.

You can also do away with the factory CD unit and go with a after-market unit to match uour new head-unit.

Trouble code P1311 means: ION Sensing Module Secondary Line 1 Circuit Malfunction Honda Man's Answer I installed a used engine in a 2002 Isuzu Axiom and ended up with a random misfire code (P0300) and a P1311. Some of the causes of a P1311 on this model can be; # Timing off - was a timing belt just installed? # Incorrect spark plugs - if anything other than Denso spark plugs are used, a P1311 can be triggered. # And finally the cause of the code in my situation was the rear Oxygen sensor electrical plugs were switched. The harness that goes on-top of the transmission includes O-2 sensor wiring with enough length and the same plugs that allows them to be easily mixed up when transmission or engine has been out for service.

when you open up your hood and look down between the radiator and your front bumper you can see the fog lamp housing. Youll also notice two bolts on top, remove those two bolts and then pull the housing toward the center of the car to free them from the mount, pull the housing as far toward you as you can and then remove the rubber cover, pull the wire attached to the bulb(the one that plugs into the cars wire) out or pull both wires out to get a better view of what youre doing, although i don't recommend the latter as the housing's terminal has a weak pin and too much play could probably break. pop the latch covering the bulb and then remove the bulb. If youre looking to replace the entire lamp housing then just remove the stock ones and replace them in the same place (may require modification).
