Sweets can be part of a healthy, lifelong eating pattern. But for the least harm and -- don't forget this -- the fullest enjoyment, they should be eaten in moderation. Innovative Candy Concepts. The Atlanta-based company claims to be the first candy maker in the world to have completely overhauled its product line--including sour Suck Ups liquid candy, Super Sweet or Sour Blast spray candy, Xtra Sour Goo and Dream Chews--in 2004 to remove all refined sugars and replace them with fruit juice concentrate. Do Japanese people eat pandas?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

If you're not Japanese, please do not assume and deny what a real Japanese person is saying on here, because what would you know? It's very true as the first person said. Do not get cultures mixed up. Japanese people do not eat dogs. There is a small population who enjoy eating fish, whale, dolphin, and who kill a lot of dolphins in the rural area. It's famous for "people by the sea" eaters and also island eaters. These men are Japanese with very tanned skin. City adults or the generation nowadays of course do not eat dolphins. I do not agree with the old generation. Just like I don't agree with dog eating in China or Korea regardless if it's a specific type of dog. But, then again, I don't agree with the billions of cows, chicken and pigs being slaughtered either. Inhaling their food and not knowing their limits. I'm a Vegan but I admit I have eggs once in a while. I wish people lived off tofu and fresh vegetables, but that's another story.

I grew up in Japan and I know we don't eat dogs and cats. We do eat whales which is controversial, I think. (deep fried whale meat was my favorite school lunch) I never knew that we eat dolphins in Japan but I guess it is in a small rural area. I have a Korean friend and she told me Koreans eat dogs but it is a specific breed that is raised for food. It's not like eating their pets! Americans eat deer, right? and yogurt that has corn starch in it! (sorry, bad joke)

Only in a small part of Japan, called Taiji, they eat dolphin and it's only once a year as part of their culture. Japanese people DO NOT EAT DOGS, OR CATS. Plus dolphin meat contains a high amount of mercury so it's not really good for you either.

********** No, Taiji is where the dolphins are primarily hunted down in droves and slaughtered. Some are hand-selected by dolphin trainers for "Dolphinariums" or "Seaquariums" [aka torture chambers]. The remaining live ones are then killed and sold in markets. All dolphins not picked are killed with harpoons, bats, knives, etc. It doesn't matter if it's a baby dolphin, a mother dolphin, a pregnant dolphin, or a young adult dolphin. If they can't sell you to the "Dolphinarium" or "Seaquarium", you will be killed. No lives are spared. Dolphin hunting season is typically from March to September and is wholly legalized and supported by the Japanese government. What's worst of it is that dolphin meat is highly toxic with mercury and is not healthy for human consumption. Maybe that's the positive of it, that those that consume the meat of these wonderful creatures will likely meet their own sick demise.

What is miso mean?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

"Miso" is Japanese fermented soybean paste. That may not sound too tempting, but diluted and used as a base for soups or sauces, miso has a rich, warm salty taste quite unlike most of the spices in western cooking. Miso soup is the classic dish for miso, where it is mixed with a fish soup stock and tofu, seaweed or other vegetables and served at pretty much every meal in a Japanese household.
