Grand wagoneer driver side electric window won't go up?

Assuming you can still hear the window motor running when you attempt to roll up the window, the most likely cause is that that plastic track that the motor pushes and pulls the window with has cracked and broken. This has happened on my Jeep twice. Remove the door panel and check to see if this is the problem. Replacements are pretty easy to find.

Why does your jeep wagoneer idle from low to high?

That's called surging, it is caused by a vacuum leak.

Check all your hoses, then spray some carb cleaner around the intake listening for differences in the engine noise. If there is a leak in the intake the chemical will be drawn into the engine and cause it to run faster.

It could also be something as simple as a missing or bad oil cap.

What is gear ratio on 1971 wagoneer?

There are four ways to find a ratio.

1 A dealer can normally tell from the vin number.

2 There are normally tags or labels on the axle that have part number, gear ratio, and fluid requirement

info.

3 You can count how many times you have to turn the driveshaft to get one complete turn of the tires.

4 You can divide the number of teeth on the ring gear and divide by number of teeth on the pinion.

What transmission fluid do you use on a 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer?

I've been using the multi-vehicle stuff, which seems pretty universal. I was warned against the dexron 3 and mercon flavours, since they are for different brands.

ATF + 4 is the recommended type for for Grand Wagoneers with Chrysler transmissions.

Will a 700r4 four speed transmission fit a 1987 jeep grand wagoneer?

Yes. It will fit. You will need to do some conversion though. Go through a company like Novak Adaptors or Advanced Adaptors to get the engine side and transfer case sides of the adaptation taken care of. Then you will need a transmission controller.

How do you change fuel pump on 1983 wagoneer?

Just changed one yesterday. On the wagoneer fuel pump there are two bolts that attach the unit to your engen block and a metal fuel line make sure all of the hoses are unattached, then remove the two bolts holding the unit to the block it is easier if you climb under the jeep to do this as there is more room and you can see better. The fuel pump is located on the right hand side of the block just below the distributor area. it wil be difficult to pull the unit out if the metal hose is still attached, but still workable. i was unable to remove mine before i pulled the unit out so i had to detach it after the unit was removed when you replace the part there should be a diagram that comes with the new unit if you purchased your new. if not then you are supposed the attach the bolt closer to the fan first and the other that way it lines up inside of you block corectly.

How do you change ignition switch on Jeep Comanche?

Do you mean the ignition key or the ignition switch? The ignition switch is located on the top of the steering column above the brake pedal. It's held on by 2 bolts. It's a lot easier to work on with the column removed. If you mean the ignition key. You need to remove the steering wheel, lock plate and turn signal switch. The key tumbler will either be held in by a screw or a tab on the tumbler. There are several sources on the Internet with detailed procedures.

Why would your horn in your 88 Jeep Wagoneer stop working?

There are two simple answers 1. the wire has come loose from the horn located near the radiator. 2. the wire has come loose from the horn button on the steering wheel. If these are not the cause than there is likely a broken or corroded wire. The grand wagoneer is notorious for corrosion and i am guessing the wagoneer is the same. good luck.
