Is your car still under warranty? If so, I suggest taking it to the dealer. I noticed the reservoir had a slow leak in the new car I bought this year. This is not something that happens often so they have to order parts, but my repair is covered by the warranty.

If the problem is just when you slow down or when you are trying to stop it sounds like your rotor the metal is very easy to damage and even a little nick in it cause the brake pads to not catch evenly there fore causing the shaking when you apply pressure. If you have had your breaks replaced recently and didn't have the rotors replaced or turned that could be why basicly uneven wear on them. Sometimes you can get them turned to correct the problem or it may need replacing completely. They 80-100 dollars at the local part store each. If it is the rotor then you will go through alot of brake pads until you get it fixed.Good Luck!

The most common cause of the blower only working in high is the blower motor resistor…. I don't recall exactly where it is on a liberty but it should be somewhere behind or underneath the glove box…. It adds resistance to lessen the speed of the motor until you put it on the high setting then it gets straight battery voltage…. I hope this helps you out

Follow the bottom hose from the radiator to engine and it will lead you to the thermostat housing. The engine will have to be cold to work on it as it is very hard to access from the bottom. Remember that the spring side of the Thermostat will face into the engine, not into the thermostat housing. This is the only vehicle that will let you install the thermostat backwards that I've seen. I have a 2002 4x4 3.7L motor the 4 cylinder engine might be different, but if u have the 3.7 it should be the same. My radiator cracked on the plastic top rh side. It seems that due to design, if the thermostat gets stuck closed, the radiator gets over pressurized with coolant and will fail when pressure passes design spec (as most things do). originally i thought it just failed due to wormanship, but i fixed the crack and tried to refill the system, but after 1 gallon it would not take more coolant, all these people online put up this nonesence,,,ohh it might be a weak water pump.....no, if a water pump is no good it won't pump and you will hear the bearings screaming when the motor is running. Because my coolant tank was overflowing I revved up the motor to see what kind of suction i would get ,coolant level dropped with every rev, but returned when the motor was idle (pump was probably just cavitating). if you live in south Florida as i do you probably don't need a thermostat, but i installed a low temp tstat anyway. my jeep has 99,000 miles on it, and the only other problems i have had with it (other than recalls) is the brakes and the crank sensor, symptoms (crank sensor)were motor stalled. After the motor cooled off the motor ran...barely and the tranny was bucking, engine and tranny both look at this sensor and when it goes bad it affects both. I recommend having a qualified mechanic replace the sensor. brakes.....lol from what I understand jeep is notorious for undersizing their brakes (conspiracy?), I have tried aftermarket pads and disks (3 different companies) and I still have problems way earlier than I should. I like the freakin car so I'll deal with it.

Also, the tanks on the Radiator are made of plastic. Yes, I said plastic. Another stewpid design yet again from Chrystler. The tanks can be replaced. Most cities have a radiator shop that can fix them for around $100 bucks. They do it everyday. Once one has cracked, your doomed. There is no fixing the crack. No stop leak will work. Don't use stop leak. I found this out the hard way going down the highway and found myself 50 miles south of Montgomery Alabama when I finally figured out the crack. If your Jeep starts loosing antifreeze, REPLACE THE TANK ON YOUR RADIATOR IMMEDIATELY. This one lasted about 110,000 miles. Good Luck

Answer Its fine as long as you have and engage the "Full Time" 4 Wheel drive lever in your Jeep Liberty. Full Time 4 Wheel Drive can be used on any surface including pavement. Dont use the "Part Time" setting, as that is only for 4 Wheel Drive use on sand or snow. Using it on pavement can severely wear down your tires, reduce your gas mileage, and prematurely wear your 4 Wheel Drive components. Actually, I've heard the other way around. And according to the manual, you're not supposed to drive very fast in full time, while in part time you can go up to 45. If you want to do highway driving on the pavement, you're best to stick with two wheel drive, not to mention the extra gas four wheel drive burns.

The manual says that you can't drive in 4 wheel high. Depending on what transmission you have, you either have 4 high, 4 low, and 2 wheel drive, or 4 high full, 4 high part, 4 low, and 2 wheel drive. 4 high full, is just that, full time. You can engage it up to 50mph. It doesn't wear anything since those components are already moving. 4 low is for off road, and slow conditions only.

Mine does the same thing. It sounds like a slight pop, when you put the jeep in reverse and start to give it gas. I'm thinking it's the driveshaft universal joint play.

I love the languge Chrysler uses for this:

"Implausible left wheel sensor distance measurement"

It means the sensor, wiring, or wheel bearing are bad causing the sensor to read impossibly high speed or distance.

Depends what year you have. Mine's an 02. In mine, the hood release is on the driver's side near the floor at the base of the door frame. After you pull that latch you have to release another latch which is actually under the hood itself. On my 02 the second latch is right under the front of the hood just about where the J is on the JEEP logo on the hood.
