Marketing is a part of sales or Sales is a part of Marketing?
1. According to me marketing is a part of sales. Since, if someone is not selling anything then, he also needn't any marketing. But if someone is doing marketing then it is sure that he is promoting its product for sale through marketing.
2.For what it is worth Marketing comes first. Sales is a process that simply implements the pointy end of a successful marketing strategy.
Take care not to confuse marketing with generating promotional material. It isn't that. A marketing plan will define the target market and the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) (plus a lot of things that make all that tick). The upshot is that great marketing makes for successful selling.
Try selling when the target market is not defined and the USP is not understood by the sales team. It is hard hard work and leads to failure and disillusionment. You good sales people will go. I know this from experience.

How to answer what is your strength in an interview?
Any interview question needs to be considered from the perspective of what it asks directly as well as what it might be pointing towards. Here, the answer should already be found in your resume-at least the list of technical skills should be there-and so this kind of question is likely only going to arise when the technical skills have not been listed (a major resume error) or when the technical skills are weak. Correcting a resume error is straightforward; however, covering for missing technical skills is more challenging.
Focus on the technical strengths that you do bring and how those may be used; be prepared to address how you will gain missing technical skills. Downplay the missing skill(s) by emphasizing other aspects of the job where you can shine by comparison. Few candidates bring all the skills to a job; it's important to emphasize what got you the interview in the first place, and to let prospective employers know that you're willing to continue to learn and grow even once you've got the job.
