1. Try holding the shift lever against the "Park" position while taking the key out. 2. Try turning the steeringwheel to the left and or right while taking the key out. 3. Try to pres the key further into the switch, then turning it to the lock position, and take it out. 4. Try pressing on the brake peddle while taking the key out. What is wrong Car cranks but wont start fire to plugs and appears to be getting gas 2003 Kia spectra?

kia has had problems with the grond wire at the fuel pump in the tank you need to do a fuel pressure test to see if the pump is putting out the correct fuael pressure. this is done by hoocking up a gauge to the test port on the fuel rail it almost looks like a valve stem pressure should be 50-60 psi

Why does my 2002 Kia Spectra fuel tank indicater read full all of the time?

Typically when a fuel gauge reads incorrectly it is the fuel sending unit in the fuel tank.In order to determine where the problem really is accessing the fuel sending unit on newer cars is fairly easy. Most have a access area either from removing the bottom of the back seat or from the trunk area under the carpet. In short if the fuel sending signal wire is grounded it should make the gauge either go back to empty or to the full mark IF it is not working properly.Just a simple check to verify if the part above is defective,or possibly your gauge itself has a electrical issue.I just recently fixed a exact issue as I have done before gauge read full and already knew the problem.

If you think the brake proportioning valve has gone bad on a 1997 Taurus can you bypass it if you have the necessary fittings and lines?

Absolutely not! The proportioning valve is a very important part of the brake system. Don't even think of bypassing it. Replace the valve if it is bad. Don't even think about it! That's one of the few things you can't screw around with. If its bad; replace it!

What special tool is needed to change brake pads on a 2005 KIA Spectra?

If it is the rear brakes, you will need one of these, a socket wrench and a large 'C' clamp. Get yourself a haynes manual or similar, that'll tell you what to do! http://www.autobarn.net/lis28600.html

Actually , you need a hex bit 8 mm. I edited , for you should have the C clamp as well. and a 8 mm hex bit

to help close the caliper before installing the new pads...

How do you change rear brakes on 2008 Kia Spectra?

It's been awhile since I did it, so we'll see how many details I can remember. But I recall that it was a fairly simple job.

Jack up the car and remove the wheel.

There should be 2 (maybe 3?) bolts on the caliper assembly that you need to remove so that the caliper assembly can be lifted off the rotor.

Replace the old brake pads with the new ones.

If you've changed brakes on another car before and used a C-clamp to push back the round part that actually squeezes on the brakes (sorry, I don't know what it's called) this one is different. Instead of pushing it back in with a clamp, it screws in. I used a pair of needle nose pliers. Just stick the tips into the 2 indentations and twist clockwise until it has gone back in enough so that the caliper assembly (with new pads) can again fit back over the rotor.

Replace the bolts, replace the wheel, jack the car back down, and pump your brakes real hard a few times.

Hope this helps!

Remove 2 screws under trunk lid, remove panel behind light in trunk, remove 2 nuts from back of light and pull light back to get at bulbs. Kind of ridiculous that you need a screwdriver and a nut driver just to change a bulb.
