a Discovery td5 can be converted to a manual gearbox. The vehicle will have to be outfitted with a clutch pedal system, different flywheel, and master cylinder system as well.

1. you have to make sure piston one is on top at TDC,

2. drain the oil and remove the engine oil pan and the pick oil pipe that is secure for 2 8mm bolts and a 13mm nut.

3. you have to remove the fan and that plastic shrout.

4. remove drive belt. note: if you are using air tools you can remove the belt and then undo the water pump pulley. if not you have to undo the 3. 8mm bolts securing the water pump pulley and then remove the drive belt. the drive belt tensioner pulley is a 15 mm.

5. remove the cranck pulley bolt it's a 15/16. and then remove the connector behind the cranck.

6. remove 9. 7/16 bolts or 11mm. and remove the timing cover.

7. make sure the crank mark its on pointing up and the cam mark is pointing down if these two marks are facing each other the timing it's fine.

Where is the camshaft/ crank position sensor:

Under the engine, driver side, just above the exhaust which has three 1/2 bolts, there is a grey (covered in oil) circular cap with two 8mm bolts and a six inch wire going up toward the back of he engine. After you remove this cap the sensor is there held in with two 7mm bolts and two spacers, the six inch wire has a clip which you will have to remove. I suggest doing this after you have remove the two 7mm bolt holding it in, this way you can use a slotted screwdriver to release the clip while you hold the sensor with your other hand.

To replace do everything in reverse. Getting the clip off and on are the hardest parts, very little space.

Note:

Do not over tighten the 7mm bolts when you replace! this may break your new sensor.

Unfortunately it can only be reset via computer. You also may try turning your key off then on again

how do you bleed air out of a 300 tdi discovery landrover

no really,,I had same trouble ,,,I change the 4 sensors and put the new ones,,,to solve the trouble rapidly but did not solve the trouble,,,,must be something else before 02 sensors.

With lots of spanners and a crane.

Best if you take a disc cutter to the front slam panel otherwise it gets in the way :-)

there is no difference between a landrover 200 tdi and a discovery tdi ! A 200tdi is a discovery tdi . I think you mean what is the difference between a 200 tdi and a 300 tdi,in which case not a lot ,apart from slightly different engine and box ,rear lights and bumper and head lights and grille. basically the same motor apart from these few things

Turn the ignition on. With the climate control turned on, push and hold the recirculation button in. While holding the button in, push and hold the off button in for 3 seconds or until you hear a beep.

All the power for the windows goes through a small black box, which commonly has dry solder joints. On a RHD car this is located behind the passander glove box with the other computer boxes, hitting it may temporarily let the windows work again. The fix is to remove the box, open it up and solder the faulty joints. The dry solder joints are most commonly found on the connections between the PCB and the input connector.

first of all you run the diagnostic scans ; then reset all of the errors codes , in most cases the wheels sensors caused this errors ,sometimes cleaning this sensor well resolve the problem , else , check the dot3 brakes oil level because Low level of oil well cues the same problem in other hand you must out the air from the brakes and add brakes oil , finally the abs controller system can cues this problem you can change it or fix
