The purpose of Laptops are very simple: -

1.) Light and could be carried in a bag or in hand if they are too compact.

2.)They are for official computers.

3.)Most of the laptops don't serve serve the purpose of gaming.

Toshiba does not specify a maximum size hard drive for this laptop. Based on its age / date of manufacture, it was probably built around the time of the 2.1 GB barrier, and thus is already equipped with the largest possible drive usable under most operating systems.

You need either a motherboard that has built-in 5.1 or better capability; if you don't have that, the only alternative is to add a soundcard that has the capability. If you're currently using the onboard sound, you'll have to disable the onboard sound in the BIOS before using the new soundcard.

Laptops in general typically can not be upgraded much due to their compact size. A common and easy upgrade for a laptop would be to increase the memory installed. Also, the processor of almost any laptop can usually be upgraded, but usually costs a lot in labor as much of the laptop will need to be taken apart to get to it.

If your laptop used to "feel fast" when it was new, but has slowed down over the years, a computer technician should be able to speed it up again by either tuning it up (malware, defrag, program removal, etc..) or by completely reinstalling your operating system.

I you want to play any file type of video i would recommend VLC media player. It can play any type of video without needing you to install any codecs. It's a good audio player too but will have not so good interface. As for Audio player I use Itunes, it gives the best sound quality but sadly it does not support all types.

It would depend on what was broken.

How do you know its not the charger? Did you try it in another computer? If it isn't the cord or battery its the Motherboard. Happened to me 6 months ago.

I think I am looking for a computer with a processor speed of between 2.0 and 3.0. But I don't know what kind to buy nor do I have a bottomless handbag. hi. I own a lenovo b560 and it has an intel p6200 processor. i upgraded it to i5-560m processor and working well. be careful about your chipset. it may not support i series. use a program called "cpu-z" to determine the socket compatibility of two processors.

The i5 processor contains a very descent HD4000 graphics processor that allows gaming. It is not for hardcore gaming. An additional graphics card makes the laptop a good gaming one...go for it !!
