I have the exact same issue on our 1996 ES300..My suspicion is that it is indeed the switch

underneath the middle console. Actually, it's the 15amp blue fuse behind the coin tray which double as a fuse box cover. The fuse layout is printed on the the of the coin tray.

The windows just need to be reinitialized is all.

Go around to each door and run the windows up and down from each individual door switch. This will reinitialize them. When you press or push each switch only pull/press hard enough on the switch to function the windows......if you push each switch all the way it tries to "auto" slide and won't program.

The 2014 Lexus ES-300H has an inline 4 engine.

This is under the intake manifold and the one on the left. There are 2 of them, one on the left side (when looking from the front) is the Bank 2 sensor. Cost is about $170. It takes about 4 hours to replace it.

Well im not sure if theres anything special about the ES I don't know tat would be different from a standard V6 but lets give this a whirl.

Seeing as its a Lexus theres probably a ton of plastic. Begin removing all the plastic bits with a 10mm deep socket. Dont know if they had coil packs on these at this point BUT if they do youll have to disconnect all of the connectors OR if it has spark cables simply give them a yank BUT be sure to put them back in the same order you've taken them off. Get a spark plug socket of the corresponding size and begin removing them. Be sure the motor is cold or you may damage the threads. After they are out be sure to gap the new ones with the spark gap your owners manual suggests and re-insert the plugs. DONT CRANK THEM DOWN! Be sure to just tighten them to just over hand tight. From here on out just re-assemble all of the goofy plastic crap and youll be set!

Hello, I recently replaced the fog bulbs on a 2000 ES300. I believe it should be the same procedure. I found it necessary to remove the Fog housing to replace the bulbs. First you'll need to get under the car. It isn't necessary to jack it up but you might find it easier with more clearance. Underneath the car, under where the Fog light is you'll see 2 screws on either side of the fog light. They are holding the plastic under body to the bumper. The screws will look like nuts with Philips head indentations in the middle. Remove these screws. After doing so pull down the plastic under body to obtain access to the back of the fog light. There is a nut on the inner side of the fog light that attaches it to the bumper (the side away from the outer side of the bumper) remove this nut and the fog light should be pretty loose. Now on the side that's closest to the edge of the bumper there is a plastic squeeze type retainer/clip at the top outer side of the fog light housing (still under the car inside of the bumper area). Gently squeeze this as you gently push the fog light out through the front of the bumper. Once you have it out unplug the harness from the back of the fog light housing. Now you can twist open the fog light to gain access to the bulb and replace it. Repeat the same steps for the other side. I hope this is adequate information to get you through the process painlessly. Good luck.

Thanks for the help. Everything went smoothly and this takes about 20 minutes to change the bulb. It would have been nice of Lexus to just place a screw on the outside.

To test an abs sensor for a Lexus ES you will need to use a multimeter. The multimeter will determine if the abs sensor works or not.

The gas tank on the 2007 Lexus ES-350 holds 18.5 gal..

I own a 2002 Lexus RX300. The outside brake light bulbs are changed my removing the entire light module from the body. The module is held in place by two screws

hidden by round plastic covers that pop out with a small screw driver. You will see the two round screw covers along the rubber moulding when you open the rear hatch. The outside edge of the module is plugged into the body with plastic prongs

that will pop loose will you pull the module with your hands. The module will now only be attached by the slack bulb wires and you can twist the socket out of the module from the back. I only loosened the two screws and then pulled on the module and it hinged away from the body allowing me two change the bulb without have the module hanging by the wires. NOTE: 2001 RX300 the module is not hinged. There are two plastic prongs on the module that go straight in to rubber grommets on the car. Once the two screws are removed the module must come straight back to remove it and it hangs by the wires

The job is very simple. The problem is the difficult access. You have to get behind the steering column.

Next time it stops blowing cold air, leave the engine running, AC on, and open the hood. Check the AC lines under the hood. If you see a lot of frost buildup on the AC lines, there's a good chance you also have frost buildup on the evaporator inside the air-handler. It's called "icing-up", and it's generally caused by someone over-charging the refrigerant (over pressure). When you build up too much ice, the air can't blow past. Correction: My understanding of the AC theory and many actual occurences over 30 years is that the icing happens when the AC charge is low, not over-charged. I know this is counter-intuitive, but, if you research how the evaporator ices up, it has to do with too low a refrigerant pressure, not too high! So, the solution is generally to add refrigerant.

The window fuse is a 30amp behind the coin holder driver's side dash board.

Turn the wheel back and fourth with the cap off and it will "push" the air out of the line. Check the fluid level and make sure it is at C for cold on the dipstick underneath the cap, when the car is idled and just turn the wheel back and fourth fully about 5 times each way.

The OD Off on all Lexus and Toyota vehicles means the Overdrive Gear in the Transmission is off. This is controlled by a button either on the gear shift or on the center console. Pressing it in or out turns the OD gear on or off. When you are driving in hilly conditions the OD is sometimes turned off to give the transmission a lower gear for more torque (pulling power) or help with braking on the downside of a hill. The OD gear is designed to improve fuel efficiency and put less stress on the engine at highway speeds. When the OD feature is engaged the yellow OD Off indicator will Not be lit on.

It is the diaphragm body next to the EGR itself. It has 2 vacuum ports on one side and 1 on the opposite side. There is an exhaust port on the bottom.
