How old do you have to be to carry a pocket knife in Loxahatchee Fl?

There is no age a 1 year old can go buy a pocket knife. But it cant be a switchblade or spring opening knife though.

I had the same question, so I went to the Poliece station in NC (I was on vacation) And their laws are similar. You can Carry a knife if you are under 18 but, it can't be spring operated in any way, As for swith blades ( Knifes that fold) They are legal as long as they arn't spring operated. You have to be 18 to buy Knifes. Machetes are considered swords and are therefor illegal.

To find out local laws on Knives, Guns, etc: go to your local Wal-Mart, they sell knives but their policy is 18+ to purchase, but you may ask the person at the counter the local laws and he will be happy to give them to you.

Can you legally own a firearm if you are a felon in the state of Ohio and your record is sealed?

Getting a conviction expunged does not restore your firearms rights. All it does is keep your conviction out of sight to the general public - you still remain a convicted felon, and thus may not own, possess, nor have access to firearms. This is federal law, and does not vary between states.

In New Jersey if your tree falls onto your neighbor's property who is responsible?

Your own homeowners insurance policy covers you if a tree falls or is blown into your property. This is what is known as an "Act of Nature". Trees do fall and sometimes die. It does not matter if the tree fell form a neighbors yard or a neighboring National Forest or if it blew in from 5 blocks down the street.

You can not require your neighbor to pay unless you could somehow prove that he was intentionally responsible for your damage.

By the Same token if a tree fell down or was blown from your property onto your neighbors property the same rule would apply, His policy would cover damage and he would pay his deductible.

Natural Acts do occur everyday around the world. In the United States, the rules of liability were set down in legal precedent many years ago in relation to this type of loss.

How do you prepare to become a bailiff?

(in the US) In many (most?) County and State-level courts the Bailiffs are Deputy Sheriffs and in many municipal courts the Bailiffs are municipal police officers. Still other court systems still employ civilians as Bailiffs, but with the escalating trend of violence seen in courts, civilian positions, in many cases, are being replaced by law enforcement officers (see above) or by those who possess special qualifications for the job (ability to be armed) such as retired law enforcement or military personnel. In Federal Courts most Bailiffs are Deputy US Marshals.

Air rifle laws in the UK?

Yes--To an extent.

the United Kingdom has one of the lowest rates of gun homicides in the world. Its police officers do not routinely carry a firearm, and both the public and the police prefer this to continue, however some police forces do have specially trained firearms officers such as the Metropolitan Police service who have the elite squad of firearms officers called CO19. Gun ownership levels have traditionally been low. This was the case even before the imposition of modern firearm legislation. Hunting with firearms was always a relatively elite activity and 'gun sports' relatively uncommon. Recent mass shootings by persons with licenced rifles and hand guns have led to what is believed to be some of the strictest firearms legislation in the world.

Rifles single-shot, bolt-action, martini-action, or revolver rifles are permitted in any calibre. Semi-automatic or pump-action rifles are only permitted in .22 rim-fire calibre.

Only muzzle-loading pistols - including muzzle-loading revolvers - are permitted. All other pistols are prohibited.

Single-barelled, double-barrelled shotguns, or those with a lever-action, or pump-action and fixed magazine capacity of no more than two cartridges are permitted on a Shotgun Certificate. Shotguns with a magazine capacity of more than two-catridges, and/or a detachable magazine, are permitted on a Firearms Certificate.

Explosive, incendiary, noxious (biological, chemical), expanding (hollow point, JHP) and armour piercing (jacketed, FMJ) ammunition types are prohibited for civilian use.

The following firearms are prohibited for civilian use:Fully-automatic or burst-fire weapons, including air weaponsFirearms disguised as another item (e.g. walking sticks, mobile telephones, etc.)Rockets and mortarsAir weapons chambered for self-contained gas cartridges

Is it illegal to shoot at birds with a bb gun in your backyard in salt lake city?

Probably. In Utah, it is illegal to discharge any "dangerous weapon" or firearm within 600 feet of any building unless you have specific written permission to do so from the owner of that property. A dangerous weapon is any device capable of causing death or serious bodily injury. I'm sure a BB gun could qualify but I'm not a lawyer. There may also be specific laws in SLC proper but I'm not sure.

Why can't we lie in court?

Because you took an oath to "tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth" in the presence of a judge or magistrate. To not tell the truth is lying ... that would put one in position of being in contempt of court.

What is the law on people making noise in the Town of Brookhaven Suffolk County NY?

If you are Dowling College Flight School or Brookheven Calabro Airport you have NO responserbilty to the community. As a matter of fact you are encourage to make noise by flying planes in tandem so there's not one moment of silence. When the school first open we where promised no more then a few hours of flights a week, all was to be done on "SIMULATORS"well that promise was quickly broken. It seems our Politicians have deaf ears for they dont do anything about it or the Skeet Shooting Range. And they have our police patroling the L.I.E. so we have less police on our streets which at night turn into DRAG STRIPS or BOOM BOX Players. Having read this if you agree please respond to it, and if I get a big enough response I will form some kind of organization to petition the Town.

What is the difference between a 'republic' and a 'commonwealth'?

It is a matter of interpretation, if they have both been admitted to the Union by law then the name is not relevant. They, what ever they might choose to refer to themselves, are equals and are considered as States of the Union. The use of the term by Puerto Rico is unique and no matter what they may choose to call themselves they are by law not a State, not a Commonwealth or any fancy high falluting title like Estado Libre Associado. The US Supreme Court rejects the term and continues to call it by the term assigned by International Law which is an inincorporated Territory. To move beyond or out of that status requires a referendum, the approval of the US Congress and the signature of the President of the United States.

How much is the fine for California traffic violation 22349 A?

The fine is dependent on the number of MPH you were traveling over the posted limit, and the county in which you received the ticket. The Uniform Bail and Penalty Schedule (http://www.dfg.ca.gov/enforcement/docs/bail-and-penalties.pdf), last updated January, 2007, identifies the standard fines and associated fees. There is a base fine (ranging from $35-$100), followed by various county, state and court "fees" which increase the total cost to $146-$380 as follows: 1-15 MPH over the limit: $146 16-25 MPH over the limit: $266 >/= 26MPH over the limit: $380 There are also 30 (of 58) counties in California that have an exception to add additional fees; these vary by county.
