What is the minimun speed law?

Speed and the law (travelling)

If you are referring to the driving speed, then this depends on your country and state.

Speed limit in the United Kingdom

  • The maximum legal speed is 30 MPH in residential and built up areas and areas where no speed limit signs are posted.
  • The maximum speed on a single carriageway is 60 MPH for cars and 50 for larger vehicles, including cars towing a trailer, another vehicle, a caravan and so on.
  • The maximum speed on dual carriageways and motorways is 70 for cars and 60 for larger vehicles or cars with something in tow.
  • The limits apply to all parts of the United Kingdom, including overseas territories, regardless of county.

If you require speed information in a different country or state, please re-ask your question with this information.

Speed and science

If you meant in scientific terms, then the law for maximum speed is "nothing can travel faster than the speed of light in a vacuum".
But recently in 2015, scientists from the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom have found that the speed of light actually varies in a vacuum. You can read more about that by clicking here.

Are Telescopic Steel Batons illegal in Virginia?

Well, I can tell you this much, I have been living in the Commonwealth for my entire life and I will tell you its very risky. I’m not sure off the top of my head but I read the Virginia laws regarding weapons, quite some years ago. Expandable Batons, Brass Knuckles, Butterfly Knives, Throwing Cards/Knives are all basically under the deadly weapons list. I had a friend in 2006 who was caught with brass knuckles, he didn’t receive a” possession of a deadly weapons charge”, but instead “Possession of brass knuckles?” In Virginia it seems they just make the up laws year after year. Id say sure if It makes you feel safer, carry it. Just don’t get caught.

Can an off duty police officer give you a ticket in Florida?

Yes. As long as they are within their jurisdictional boundaries they may personally issue you a citation. Officers/Deputies/Troopers are on duty 24/7 and there certifications are maintained by the Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement. This said they must also stop to render aid or deter criminal offenses that occur in their presence. In Florida there is no such thing as "off duty."

Do I need my neighbor's permission to build a new fence?

It all depends on if you live in a community with an HOA. If you do have a Homeowner's Association, you will have to submit plans for your fence to make sure it's approved. Also, some communities have rules on the types of fences allowed... wood vs cyclone for example. Before you put up any fence, you need to contact your city hall first. You would hate to spend all that money, just to get fined for it..... or worse... have to take it down.

Can a doctor refuse treatment to patients?

Yes, although the doctor must inform the patient and is still the patient's caregiver until the patient transfers to another caregiver or sufficient time has passed to do so. These concepts are rather vague. Here are some examples: * A doctor cannot voluntarily leave a patient in the middle of an operation if she expects to not spend time in court or before a review board. * A doctor may notifiy the patient through a reliable and verifiable source (registered mail is a favorite) that they will cease treatment of the patient in a reasonable amount of time (1 week to 1 month is probably good), and that the patient much seek help elsewhere. * If the doctor has reason to fear for life or limb from actions the patient may undertake, the doctor is not required to expose herself to a combative patient. However, notification is still required. * The doctor is encouraged to terminate care of a patient they lack the requisite expertise to treat. Again, this would be documented. * At this time, in America, a doctor out of the office is not required to treat a stranger in extremis.

What is the sentence for breaking and entering and assaulting someone?

The best person to answer this question would be a local criminal defense attorney, because there are many factors in play. First, penalties vary from state to state. Second, penalties vary in some states depending upon whether the structure broken into was a home or a commercial place. Whether or not the target assault would be classified as a felony could also impact the charges. And finally, even knowing all of that would only provide a range of sentencing, and where a particular case might fall within that range would depend on another set of factors, including prior criminal history, victim impact statement, and even the prosecutor and judge involved.

What are the fines and jail terms for drug possession?

The laws vary from state to state, and it depends on the amount and type of drugs you are in possession of. In Texas someone got a 2 year sentence for a quarter of a gram of crystal meth and another got 20 years for a quarter pound of the same drug. They also look at the background someone has, for example if you are a known addict, you will probably get a longer sentence then you would if you had never had any run ins with the law.

Can a Illegal Immigrant go to court and not get deported?

I am noticing it is not that easy to get someone deported because of expenses. Unless they have done some crime here in America, then it seems as though no one cares. * If the unlawfully present immigrant appears in a court of law regardless of the reason for him being there, authorities are required to take him into custody and remand him to immigration officials. Whether or not he will be deported depends upon if he qualifies as a refugee or asylee.

Can boyfriend kick me out?

Assuming his name is not on the lease or mortgage, you simply tell him to leave and call the police if he won't. A sneakier way to do it would be to wait until he's gone and toss all of his stuff onto the porch and then lock him out. I'd advice changing locks if you already gave him a key and he won't give it back.
