For this, you need to change the resolution on your screen. This is done (depending on your Operating System) by right clicking on the desktop -> going to personalize -> Display Settings -> and changing the resolution by sliding the bar. You generally want it to be the biggest possible.

If there are no options for sliding the bar, then your Operating System probably needs a better graphics driver, or a better graphics card.

Selecting non-contiguous text is not a system wide feature of Mac OS X and needs to be implemented within each application. Applications such as Apple's TextEdit and Microsoft's Word do have the ability to hold down the Command key and select additional non-contiguous text but many applications do not include this option.

In iPhoto select the two pictures to be printed and choose Print... From the File menu. In the Print options pane that appears select your Paper size (such as A4) and 5 X 7 as the Print Size. Macs are designed to function best with Mac OS X and the associated iLife software (iPhoto, iMovie etc.) but they can happily run Windows or Linux. Rather than change a Mac to the another operating systems you can run Windows using an emulator (Xp, Vista and 7 - use "Sandbox").

But for professionals that want more out of excellent hardware, Linux has tools for most - without the need for "Appstore". So, i run MacOS one one partition, have installed "REFIt" that enables triple boot: MacOS, Windows and Ubuntu Studio. I have installed some more eyecandy Ubuntu, music and video editing software, and this can access the MacOS HFS file system - and even fix it (install all the "hfs" tools). But things that I like, such as the Docking, is installed, but the top, shared menu line that changes for the window that is active, has been replaced by a "Windows-like" menu.

The "ext4" filesystem is aparently more robust than hfs. There are some issues with the using the journalling in hfs from Linux, so be careful. Otherwise, things like email should be able to use the same files. I can "see" all my MacOS files from Linux, and all the Windows files - and when I need a MacOS tool, it is just to reboot and run MacOS - or Windows (this is usually just emulated in "Wine"/"Vm").

There are several other websites offering brilliant Photo Booth effects to download. My favorite is Cat Eye, which has lots of trippy effects (requires Leopard). Another good one is Macpoupou Factory's More iChat Effects (when you click the link provided below this answer you must click "Download" on the sidebar, where More iChat Effects 2.0.4 should be the second link listed). More iChat Effects is also Leopard only.

Another option is AlterEgo iChat Effects. This download has a nice selection, although unfortunately the majority of the effects are emblazoned with a logo right across the middle where your face should be. It's an option, but I honestly ended up deleting most of them. Next there's a neat little effect called Obamify, for those who want to mock up an image of themselves reminiscent to an Obama campaign poster. It is only one effect, but it's nifty.

Finally, for those who are really scraping the barrel for crazy new Photo Booth effects, you can visit the QuartzFX website. In the downloads category you will find a handful of user-created Photo Booth effects, some which work better than others. If you go to the "How-to" section there are also tutorials on how to create your own effects.

The Mac's built in camera will be used with any software that requires a camera. With a standard Mac the Applications folder will contain PhotoBooth, iMovie and iChat all of which will use the camera. You can add Apple's free FaceTime to chat with other Mac and/or iPhone users or some of the numerous other software titles (such as iStopMotion and EvoCam) that can also make use the camera. To install MCEdito on your Minecraft Mac OSX you have to download the program from the appropriate website and then follow the instructions on your screen.

First off, make sure you have the newest update of Mac OS (which right now is Lion). Also if you have it connected to a secondary display make sure its not that confusing it. The last thing to check is to make sure you don't have the log in page hot keyed or cornered. If none of these are problems try to restart the computer.
