Zooming in or out on a Toshiba laptop is very easy to do. You can just use ctrl + or ctrl - to use the zoom feature for any page.

You can overclock it, bit you can't put a new board in. If it's one of the older Macs that used the motorola processors (g4, g5, etc), overclocking will require some soldering and other hardware mods. If it's an intel Mac, there are apps that will allow you to overclock.

This is pretty simple, from Finder, highlight a file and hit Cmd-I to bring up the File Info Dialog for the file. In this dialog the Spotlight Comments field is where you add tag data. Just add text to this field to "tag" the file.

There is a program called visualhub that will allow you to convert to the TIVO format for transfer back to TIVO. You use the tivo decktop for MAC and visual hub will update to allow video transfers. see www.visualhub.net Newer versions of Toast do Tivo files too.

The Mac keyboard does not have a delete key. On MacBooks forward deletion can be achieved by holding down the Fn key and pressing the BackSpace key. Some applications replicate this operation with a Shift or Alt and BackSpace key combination but it is not native to the Mac's user interface.

Finale is for arrangement of musical notation and sheet music. It only has XG MIDI instruments (about 120 sounds) which sound very crude and cheesy. Obviously since the software is designed for just notation it would make no sense for high end sound.

GarageBand is mainly for recording audio and MIDI, editing, sequencing (using midi), processing effects, and a lot more stuff. GarageBand comes with a large library of pre-recorded samples, virtual instruments, synths, and effects. It uses looping features to repeat musical phrases throughout a song.

Basically, in a nutshell, Finale is for notation... GarageBand is for audio production. Of course you can do notation in GarageBand and some production in Finale, but mainly that's not their design.

The mac comes with a disk of the current software you are running. Put in the disk and reinstall the software. When you are done photo booth will be back.

It should of asked you to press a couple of keys to map generic drivers to the keyboard so it will at least minimally work.

You may have to go to the 3rd party manufacturers web site to download drivers for it. If it's a few years old then there may not be any updated drivers unfortunately.

If it's a Bluetooth keyboard make sure the battery's are ok and it's turned on. (And your Mac has a Bluetooth card installed) Unfortunately not all 3rd party keyboards work on a Mac.

Final Cut Express is very makes video editing very easy when you are starting off. However, when you get into the more complicated areas, it becomes a bit more challenging to figure out by yourself. I would recommend watching some of the video tutorials or go into an Apple Retail Store if you have any questions.
