Was Martin Luther anti semitic?
* I maintain that some Jew wrote it [the Book of James] who probably heard about Christian people but never encountered any. We should throw the Epistle of James out of this school [the University of Wittenburg].... * We are At Fault for not slaying them [the Jews]. *
What shall we do with...the Jews?...I advise that all their prayer books and Talmudic writings...are to be taken from them. What shall we do with...the Jews?...I advise that safe-conduct on the highways be abolished completely for the Jews. What shall we do with...the Jews? I advise that their rabbis be forbidden to teach on pain of loss of life and limb. What shall we do with...the Jews?...set fire to their synagogues or schools and bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them. What shall we do with...the Jews?...their homes also should be razed and destroyed. There are quotes that make it seem quite likely that Martin Luther was anti-Semitic, but then so were many others back then, and sadly so are many others today. It would be a logical fallacy to say that this means that the core of Christian faith is untrue, but it seems quite likely that Martin Luther didn't get everything right. Some have suggested that this indicates a general and original Protestant bias towards anti-Semitism, they cite the passion narratives, which describe Jewish involvement in the arrest and murder of Jesus. But this is a short sighted assertion when you consider that Christian's also freely admit that the same Jewish Jesus is viewed as God. A Christian might reply, "If being Jewish is bad/evil/dirty, then we have a real problem with the sinless and praise worthy Jesus."

Did Martin Luther actually tear the Book of James out of a Bible because he disliked it so?
No, however he unwisely referred to it as an 'Epistle of straw' in his preface to it, since according to him it had no clear explanation of the Christian Gospel of grace, which was the most important doctrine for him since it helped him come free from the slavery of works under which he suffered while still a monk. Thus, although his words against it were somewhat misguided and to a degree irreverant towards God's word, he did not go the full way and tear it out as others have done to sections of the Bible.

What happened when Martin Luther was brought before the Diet of Worms?
The Diet of Worms in 1521 was an imperial council that was convened to decide the fate of Martin Luther. It was held in Worms, Germany. The Holy Roman Emperor Charles V presided over the diet.
Luther's Protestant views were condemned as heretical by Pope Leo X in the bull Exsurge Domine in 1520. As a result Luther was summoned to either renounce or reaffirm them at the Diet of Worms on 17 April 1521. When he appeared before the assembly Luther was presented with a table filled with copies of his writings. Johann van Eck asked Luther if he still believed what these works taught. Luther asked for time to think about his answer and he was given an extension. Luther prayed, consulted with friends and mediators and presented himself before the Diet the next day.
When he was asked the same question the next day, Luther apologized for the harsh tone of many of his writings, but said that he could not reject the majority of them or the teachings in them. Luther respectfully but boldly stated, "Unless I am convinced by proofs from Scriptures or by plain and clear reasons and arguments, I can and will not retract, for it is neither safe nor wise to do anything against conscience. Here I stand. I can do no other. God help me. Amen."
On May 25, Emperor Charles the Fifth issued his Edict of Worms, declaring Martin Luther an outlaw.
What was luthers doctrine of justification by faith?
Humans ared saved by their faith in God's grace, not by the good works they do.
The question makes no sense at all... How did he what? But here's who he was if that's what you meant: He was a German man who opposed the Roman Catholic ideas. He thought that they were making too much money and lying about things like selling indulgences (things that buy you time out of hell which wasn't necessarily true) and that the Pope was having sexual relationships with women when he wasn't supposed to. (It says in the Bible) So he protested and that's where the Protestant term comes from.
