In short, Turing answered the Entscheidungsproblem (Hilbert) with a negative. Then went on to develop the theoretical Turing Machine: a tape reader head that responds to inputted symbols and rewrites the answers back onto the tape. The Turing machine was able to answer mathematical computations in a true or false manner. He developed algorithms to solve the German Enigma during the second world war, when he worked for the British government at Bletchley Park. He put all his previous knowledge together, and understood that a single algorithm/machine could not be developed for each task, a general purpose computer was necessary to fulfill the requirements of the cryptography and mathematical branch. He developed the colossus computer, generally considered the first digital computer, along with Zusse and Von Neuman's work, the title is contested! Due to his contributions Turing's name was put to the award for computing excellence, basically the Nobel Prize for computing. The Turing Test is still used today, to show how computers and humans respond differently to logic problems and complex computations, proving that a machine cannot behave like a human.

Of course, Archimedes ( 287 - 212 )BC, as a Mathematician did a lot on the number system; he was working on that for he had a profound sense of the numbers he was trying to find out: his graphical calculation of limits, much before Sir Isaac Newton ( 1642 - 1727 ).

Now, according to the history of Mathematics; in Greece, the first to work on the number system was Thales of Miletus ( 640 - 535 )BC; for some writers ( 624 - 546 )BC.

The Number System is a creation that has come from a long time from Babylon. Mathematicians were able of working with the number systems from the Renaissance to the present day. It should be remembered that Ancient numbers were neither perfectly alphabetical nor completely consisting in writing, touching the definition of Wisdom.

Carl Friedrich Gauss was born in Braunschweig, Germany on April 30, 1777. He spent most of life in Göttingen, Germany, which was also where he died. His death on February 23, 1855 places his lifespan at 77 years, 9 months, and 23 days long.

Alan Turing was a brilliant mathematician, computer pioneer and cryptologist. He was a leading participant in World War II code breaking. He made major discoveries in the field of cryptanalysis . He wrote papers about different approaches to code breaking. After the war, he worked for the National Physical Laboratory. He led the design work for automatic computing engine and created a blueprint for programmable computers. His Turing Test was an attempt to create a standard for intelligent design. He was convicted of homosexuality and sentenced to be chemically castrated. The procedure rendered him impotent. He committed suicide by ingesting cyanide.
