It could be a few things that cause that. One is the main fuse could be bad, or the battery cables coming from the battery connecting to the engine controlls could have a loose connection or be corroded. If those are not the problem, you might have to trace the power wire from the battery through out the car to make sure everything is in good condition. Also, check to make sure the battery is the proper size for the car, each car has a battery that produces the proper cranking amps. You can find this information in the owners book or if you have one, in the car repair manual or if it is still there, the sticker under the hood, or near the battery area.

3 things to check.......and seeing as how this question is SOOOO descriptive, I cant garantee any of this

1. Your headlight switch is broken. Save up $400 for a new one

2. The motor that lifts the lights is broken. $250 for a new one

3. The bulb is dead. $20

its not properly cooling, You should double check the oil lines running from your engine to the turbo, and then check the exhaust to see if there is a blocked catalytic converter.........you should always work on the exhaust before you get crazy with a turbo, all that hot air needs a fast way out.

Piston for sure gets better milage unless you have a V8 or higher. Rotary drinks its gas.

if this happens when you first start the car it is normal. It is just the cars way of warming up the engine.

Open the rear hatch, you can reach the fuel door release from the rear drivers corner inside the car. You can get your hand in far enough to feel a manual release on the electric one. This is assuming the dash mounted button isn't working. Which is located left of the steering wheel beside the hatch pop and choke.

A rotary engine, or formly known as the "wankel" engine was created/invented by Felix Wankel back in the 1920s i believe, prototype was designed an released in 1959.

Mazda well know for the RX(Rotary Experiment) Gen cars 1-8.

There are a few kinds of rotary engines, the ones in airplanes, and the ones used in cars/trucks.

The basic rotary engine from a car IE Rx7. has a 13b rotary engine, which is a 2 rotor model.

The rotary engine , instead of a traditional piston engine does not go up an down, instead goes in circular motion (which allows it to get way more RPMs). there are plenty of rotary engines 12a,13b,20b, and 26b(which is hard to come close too...AND ALOT OF $$$$$)

As soon as the proper amount of coolant is in the system the light should shut off. Be sure to properly purge the cooling system of air. what if light still does not shut off

the answer truly lies in what buzzer pattern are you hearing?

First of all stop driving the car this could be one of a few problems,

1. Too much coolant in the system (overfilled)

2. Radiator is original and probably starting to block up

- To check drain the coolant in the system, remove the upper and lower rad hoses, unscrew the radiator cap and put a garden hose in the radiator and turn it on after a second or two you should see the water coming out of the lower part of the rad if it does not come out the rad is blocked and needs to be flushed or replaced

To remove the ignition switch on a 1986 Mazda RX-7, first disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Then, remove the steering column covers by unscrewing the screws that hold them in place. Next, locate the ignition switch, disconnect the wiring harness, and unscrew the mounting screws to detach the switch from the column. Finally, carefully pull the ignition switch out of its housing.

The Rx-7 is the better and faster car.

But the Rx-8 pushes pretty good numbers for not having a turbo.

The 13B has a higher potential for performance than the Renisis. The Renisis has had manufacture modifications to the block to improve the engine to the reliable commuter status and is not as responsive to modifications.

here the kind of fluid your 1994 rx7 would take Specified oil:

Grade: API service GL-4 or GL-5

All-season: SAE 75W - 90

1) The bolt to lock the alternator tension bolt in place is missing or loose.

runs out the back of the dash, under the firewall, and in the top of the transmission.

the way a rx7 engine misfire can be cause by having bad spark plugs or either wires. The timing is incorrect and needs to be adjust. it can be adjusted by using a timing light.

another factor that can cause misfire is having your throttle position sensor(TPS) out of wack. it is located right on top of the water pump housing. there is a write up on fixing this on http://fc3spro.com/main.html

afraid this can be any number of things to a stuck thermostat costing £10 to a broken engine costing £3000.

bad news- if you've been driving around with it overheating there is a good chance that the housings have warped - under no circumstances should you use the car outside of a controlled environment (ie your driveway) as this will cause irrersable damage to the housing.

leave the car so its stone cold, then turn it on and leave it idling and when the car starts to warm do the following.

check the radiator gets warm?

if it doesnt, is the pipe going to the radiator warm/hot?

if the pipe is hot but the radiator is cold you have a blocked radiator - it needs unblocking at a garage or a brand new one buying.

if the pipe and radiator is cold then it the thermostat that not working, the housing will need taking off to get at the thermostat to check if its not working.

you can test the thermostat by heating it and watching it move but for the cost of a new one you may as well just replace it as you've just spent an hour taking the pump housing apart.

if this is ok that about rules out any of the minor problems.

so onto the major ones...

With the car cold start it and take the filler cap off, are there any bubbles?

is there any smoke from the exhaust when the enigne rev's?

but most importantly do you loose coolant?

if the answer is yes to any of these questions chances are there is an water seal faliure somewhere in the engine. the only fix is to strip the engine down and rebuild it.

you will need to do a compression test and a pressure test on the water system. both can be done at a Mazda garage but if your doing it yourself then you need

between 85-95psi on each rotor face for compression. remember there are three rotor faces so there should be three readings on each chamber making 6 readings in total. if you have a problem one or more of these reading will be very low or bearly even register.

the water system i believe shoudl hold pressure up to 19psi - please check this as im not 100%, 19psi is what is should be on a 3rd gen rx7 so may not be the same for the turbo 2.

Hmm same thing happend to me on my rx7, the first thing you have to do is try pressing down upon the gear lever and moving it out of reverse, if this process seems to do absolutely nothing for you then remove the transmission or remove the driveshaft and tow it to a shop. DO NOT TOW IN GEAR or you will be turning your engine backwards which is NOT a good thing.

Drain the fule tank. Plug on bottome of tank. Lift matting over tank. There is a plate hold the fule tank in place. Remove from top of fule tank.
