Theoreticaly, the twin turbos would be the most efficient power adding devices. However, due to the fact thqat no twin turbo kit exists for the car, and the non peripheal exhausts like the ones on an rx7, you would have to custome design a set-7p yourself wich would be very difficult and alarming expensive. On a rotary engine you'd nees a sequential twin turbo set up. This requires two turbos that are both too small for the engine alone. One of them runs in low rpm's and the second one kicks in to add enough air between the two for the top end of your Rev limit. Modern turbos are capleable of spooling quicker and pushing more air longer, thus reducing the gains of a twin turbo set up to a mere moot point. A properly sized twin screw type supercharger would provide a dead flat torque curve from idle all the way to redline. Petite racing. Makes a supercharger kit with a twin screw for about 6000.00$ this kit is good for 200 ftlbs of torque from idle to redline, this doesn't seem like much, but consider that the car doesn't reallly sttart to accelerate till over 5000 rpms and the torque there is only about 150 at the crank and with drivetrain loss is probably 130 at most. at 1000 rpms and stock you have maybe 75 ftlbs. Your horsepower with this kit is about 300 at the wheels, but its torque and rpms that equal speed, not hp. But i/m assuming 6k is a little much to spend, your best bang for the buck is the 3500.00$ dollar GREEDY turbo kit. The power band will actually be quite close to the superchers band with this turbo, and if the 260 hpisnt enough, BHR can rebuild the turbo so it can give you 360 hp for 1000.00$ any more power than this and you have to rebuild the engine with new apex seals and do custom power adder kits, and that'll run you 10k easy.

does this particular steering wheel have an air bag if so disconnect battery .After removal of horn assembly there should be two threaded holes these holes are for a puller which can be bought from a car spare parts store or you can use the heel of your hand but beware you could brake the spokes of the wheel .

I have listed the coils in order from the front of the car to back in the stock coil location.

Coil input colors can confirm this.

1) Green coil input wire is Leading plug front rotor (bottom-front spark plug)

2) White coil input wire is trailing plug front rotor (top-front spark plug)

3) Yellow coil input wire is Leading plug rear rotor (bottom-rear spark plug)

4) Blue coil input wire is trailing plug rear rotor (top-rear spark plug)

You have to get a special caliper reset tool. You can rent it from auto zone.

Crank the engine for about 10 seconds with the accelerator all the way to the floor, after 10 seconds release the accelerator while continuing to crank the engine. If it starts to sputter (firing sporadically, keep cranking until it starts or 30 seconds total. If it doesn't start, wait 30 seconds, so the starter doesn't burn out, and repeat the procedure. Resist the temptation to push on the accelerator as it starts to sputter. If the engine is cold, it may take 10-20 attempts before it starts. You may run the battery dead during the procedure so be sure you have a charger or jumper cables handy. If you notice the cranking getting weak, charge the battery for a while before trying again. A weak cranking will reduce the likelyhood of success. After the first time this happened to my RX8 I learned to just hook up jumper cables, to my other running car, from the start to avoid running the battery down before the engine gets clear and starts. Once started, be sure to let the motor warm up before turning off. This condition typically is caused by turning the engine off before it has warmed up. Especially in cold weather.

The coils die faster than the plugs!

The RX8 Irridium plugs need to be changed at 25,000 miles per the maintenance manual.

Replace the plugs and ignition coils when the car won't rev over 9,000 rpm smoothly.

Well, depend on wind and angle of road. I have heard of someone maxxing their factory RX8 at 156 MPH.

I believe mine would redline at 180 MPH, and go up to 200 MPH before the rev-limiter cut in, but it's questionable whether it produces enough power to reach it on level ground without a wind. Certainly, under some conditions it could. (Downhill with a tailwind, at least.)

10:1 - 12:1 through that range is fine

idk exact specifics, but after installing mine there is a definite notice in increased hp. i strongly suggest the cold air intake.
