Unless you have an oil leak or your engine runs hot. You should put the same amount of oil back in that you take out. If you have a leak and or you burn oil, then you should consult your owners manual. The right amount would be under maintenance.

The problem is that the inside door handle is broken.

Although the inside door handle needs replacement you can still open the door by pulling on the lock lever above the handle.

each spark plug has there own coil pack and they cost about $70 each. its on top of each spark plug. one little bolt and a plastic plug.

I have a 2004 as well and mine is in the fuel tank. Not very handy and very expensive. I am not affiliated with eBay in any way but you can find new ones on there at a much cheaper price as I have been pricing them myself. Good luck.

My 2002 Tribute has 19mm lug nuts.

if you read the owners manual there is a code you can put in yourself. It will tell you how to do it.

You need to unscrew the whole cover panel for license plate.

Trace back from the top radiator hose. It should be in line near the block. The 2006 are a plastic triangular piece and the thermostat is in there. Sometimes they are split for the bottom hose as well.

You access it from under the hood. Facing the engine compartment you have to remove the plastic panel underneath the passenger side windshield wiper blade. Remove the passenger wioer blade arm, then remove the 4 or so plastic tabs. Then remove the plastic caps closer to the windshield there are screws underneith remove them then remove the ruber seal over the portion of the panel it is covering. There is another plastic cover underneith that one and that is where the filter goes. Hope that helps.

I have a 2002 Tribute V-6 with over 400,000 km (250,000 miles) that is still going strong. Various bits and pieces have had to be replaced as they wore out, but the engine and transmission are both original equipment.

I understand that the 4 cylinder engine has had some issues but the 2.0 V-6 has been good to me.

Open the rear hatch, remove the 2 screw on the side of the taillight lens and carefully pull towars u, dont worry u wont brake it, but just be carefull, if u like just find a smal screwdrive and a shop rag and pry the coners that rap aroundby fenderwell that is where the push pins are located one on top and one on the bottom

Changing a battery on a Mazda Tribute is very easy to do. The battery is held in place by a bracket. Take the bracket off and then remove the battery terminals from the old battery. Take the old battery out and replace it with a new one.

If you have an OBD (On Board Diagnostics) scanner, you can read the error code and reset check engine light. Obviously, if the problem is still occurring the light will come back on. Most of the chain autoparts places will read and reset the OBD for you for free.

I used a hammer, no kidding.

Check your IAC (Idle Air Control) valve. They go bad on Mazdas around this year, and cause sporadic dying. It can be fine for weeks, or months, then just stall out.

It is probably the fuel pump as it sits it looses prime and since their is wear in the pump it is slow to reprime it's self you need a pressure gage to test this as it could be complicated with a bad fuel regulator.or could be bad or sticking injectors. I would go for the fuel pump first and you can buy a test gage for about 20.00 dollars at a discount auto parts or similar

There are 6 plugs total three are at the front of the motor and are easy to get to the other 3 are at the back of the motor un the manifold.

The check engine light on a Mazda Tribute gives warning of potential problems. It can signal overheating, low oil, or engine misfires.

Hey. If it's the flip key, there is a little tab where the key sits when it's not out (in that recessed area of the key fob). i just found it. used a little tool, or a straight paper clip, and press in that tab, and pull the two parts of the key and remote apart. then you'll see 2 little clips that hold the front of the alarm keypad to the base. press those in, pull the alarm apart, and you'll see the battery. there's no info on the web on how to do this. good luck.

Battery is not charging due to defective alternator or the battery itself needs to be replace.

I have a 93 cavalier. The check gauges light could be burned out. Verify it is working by turning the key fwd but not to the on position and watching the dash to see if the light comes on. Otherwise it is likely a crossed wire or short in the relay that the sound comes out of. Located above your feet on the drivers side. It will have a little speaker on it.
