How do you remove a Mazda tribute interior door handle?
Take your car to the closest Mazda dealer and get it fixed there. They charge only 1 hour ($60) for the labor. I did it last week, by the way, what it is expensive is the handle !!!. Otherwise, remove the two screws (handle and pocket) and unplug the panel starting from the bottom. The problem is not removing the side panel, the problem is replacing the handle itself.

Well, my IAC just went bad on my ZX2. I've been having stalling problems for about a year intermittently but it started getting really bad. When the car is driving its fine, but when I stop at a light it completely stalls. It will start right back up but only stays running if I give it gas. I took it to a mechanic who ran a diagnostic. How do you replace a rear bumper on Mazda tribute?
The bumper COVER can be replaced very easily with the correct tools (the actual bumper is located underneath the bumper cover). I used a torx driver, a Phillips and and two small sockets to remove my bumper cover. On a 2001 Tribute there are two screws in each of the wheel wells, one at the top of the bumper cover and one at the bottom that you need to remove. Then remove the four torx screws located under the lift gate and the bolts holding on the two pads. Underneath there are 4 connectors that are removed by backing out the screw in the middle and then pulling out the connector.
Be sure that all the edges are free and you have not missed any connections.
At this point the only thing holding the bumper cover on are two guide pins on either side of the vehicle. You can remove the cover by sliding it to the rear over the guide pins until it is free (about 3-5 inches).
The actual BUMPER is now exposed and can be removed by removing the bolts that hold it on.
To replace the parts just reverse the above procedure.
Most any auto parts store can sell you a repair manual for around $25 that will show the details of how to do this and many other things.

How do you program a keyless entry fo your Mazda tribute?
Using the drivers side switch, cycle the power door locks LOCK, UNLOCK, LOCK, UNLOCK.
Cycle the ignition from OFF to RUN eight times within 10 seconds, ending in the run position. The power door locks should cycle to indicate program mode, vehicle is ready to accept remotes.
Press any button on the remote, once again the locks will cycle to indicate a successful program.
Turn the ignition off to exit the program mode.

The Cabin Air Filter is located on the exterior front passenger side underneath the plastic trim that the wipers rest on. To remove the trim, remove the plastic screws and pull the trim away. (the hood must be open to do this) You will see the filter area but I doubt you will find a filter since the US models of this SUV did not ship with one. Search on line for one to fit and your good to go. I believe Fram has one that works or MOPAR.

My owners manual stated to unscrew the two screws on the clear lens. There were no screws. If you look at the left lens, you will see an arrow that is molded in to the lens pointing to the left, and the right lens points to the right.
Push the lens in the direction of the arrow until it stops, on the end opposite of the arrow you will need to pull down that side, as there is a curved clip that is part of the molded lens that keeps it in place. You may need to insert a flat bladed screw driver in the area opposite the arrow to assist in the removal.
The light socket assembly is twisted to remove it and then you pull out the bulb and replace it. Insert the socket assembly to the housing and test bulb to insure it works. Next, put the molded arrow end in first and then push lens assembly until it snaps into place. When I first tried to remove the lens, I was worried I would break something and once you get the lens housing out, you will see what keeps the lens in place....or you can go to the dealer and pay thru the nose.

The E-brake adjustment nut is located under the E-brake leather cover (directly to the left of the E-brake lever). You have to remove the E-brake cover and tighthen the bolt to the proper adjustment.

When should you change the timing belt on your 2002 Mazda Tribute?
If you have the 3.0 6 cylinder you do not have to change a belt because it has a chain that does not require a service interval. The 4 cylinder has a belt however and should be changed at or around 80,000 miles. If the belt breaks the vehicle comes to a dead stop so this is good preventative maintenance.

I would suspect The hazard switch has failed and/or the flasher relay also.
Replace the relay first & see if problem still exsists. If does, hold onto relay & replace hazard switch or combination of both.
