Depending on which part of the seat belt you need to replace..... The inboard part of the seat belt...the female receptacle...you need to first disconnect the electrical connection underneath the seat (thick black wire with a connector) then unbolt the receptacle...done. The outboard side of the seat belt...the long part....you'll need to remove the left side panel, where the hardware is to lock down the roof. There's a small, plastic cover over the handle that lifts and slides back. The handle and small lever will slide off. There are about 5-6 small screws that hold the cover on. You'll have to lift up the bottom panel to gain access to some screws and have more room to work with. The seat belt unit is bolted down with a large bolt on the floor. Remove the bolt and the unit will come out. There's also a bolt on the top . You'll have to remove the chrome cover...2 screws in the fron. And, be careful not to scratch the paint. You should be able to remove the entire assembly. Replace the assembly with the new unit, and make sure that you have the belt right side up, otherwise you'll have a messy looking seat belt. Before you bolt everything back together, sit in the car and test the belt set up out...making sure its moving freely. Once all of that's done, and you're happy with the installation...put all the pieces back together. I hope this does it for you. DM

SL derives from the German "Sport Leicht" or "Sport Light" in English.

it's in the fuse box, a black relay on the right corner, it should say the revolutions number on it.

under the car,just beside the fuel tank,it's located beside the exterior fuel pump,under a black plastic panel

Too much for what? Mercedes CLS is a very well designed car and will last a long time with regular maintenance. I have 55k on mine and have total confidence this will be at least a 200k car if I decide to keep it that long.

Check your fuses under the hood.

Fuel door is locked when car locked, push on the forward part of door, the aft side will pop out.

It's located under the foot-rest of the passenger side seat.

hi open the bonnett look on the left side of the engine bay theres a fuse box in it is a round plug thats it thks.

check for a blown fuse in the trunk, driver's side, fuse box.

Turn the ignition lock on and the radio on and wait. It can take up to a couple of hours depending on how many times the incorrect code has been inputed in the radio.

Remove the tire and wheel from your 1986 Mercedes-Benz 420. Remove the brake pad spring and caliper. Reverse the process to install the new front brake pads.

remove the bolts, one is long on the top save it for last the one on the bottom is the tensioner. Remove it first and take the belt off and take the top one out and pull out of bracket. before replacing it try to change the brushes in it first. they are about 10 dollars or less. remove the screws and pull the brushes out and install the new ones an install the alternator an see if it cures the charging problem before you spend hundreds.

unless you have a computer from MB, linked to the MB factory, you can't.

You will have to take it to your local MB dealer or Indy shop, have their computer linked to your car, where they can cancel and reset the existing codes stored on the car's computer.

this is how MB keeps track of their cars...and diagnosis' any problems your car might have.

It's a pain in the ass, but that's how it is these days with most cars.

The fuel pump is in the fuel tank and the fuel tank will have to be removed to access it. If you do not have the skill or equipment to do this properly, I suggest taking it to a shop.

I have a 1985-86 MB 500 SL the fuse box is on the front passenger side down by the floor in the back on the door side. There is a piece of plastic about 7-8 inches wide by 5-6 inches tall that just pops out with a flat head screw driver. All my info is in German so not sure which fuse is for the blower motor but #3&4 are for the windows. Mine was imported so you might have normal fuses but mine are not. Mine are a 1 inch round like a pencil piece of plastic with a a dome of metal at each end and a skinny piece of metal connecting the two ends. Hope this helps, good luck!

This is a easy one, your seat control modules are draining your battery everyday! As long as you do have power seats correct? They stay awake and keep your c.a.n. bus awake which pulls about 1.5 amps or so until your battery is dead. These are not cheap control modules, but the only way to repair this is to replace them, and even though only one of the control modules is causing the drain, they both need to be replaced at the same time, or you will have more problems. Not to bad if you want to do it yourself, they are located under each seat and clip to the seat track. Just need to raise the seat and unplug them and install the new ones. Hope that helps!

Foglights by nature are very diffuse and don't require a real exacting aiming....but do so by either using the mounting bolts you see or even just bending the bracket they attach with a bit.
