well... if your talking about the things tracking cookies no. what they will do is if you accept the cookie then it will basically follow where you go on the Internet. for example if you like golfing and your always looking at golfing stuff on the computer, the cookie will take that info sell it to a company that sells golf stuff and you'll get junk email from that place. but if your talking about i cookie that you eat... sorry cant help you.

This may not be too helpful, but it might work.

Usually, when my computer goes into safe mode, it starts up with a screen asking whether or not to go into safe mode. Restart your computer, and watch it the whole time until it starts up. If it does come up with a screen asking about safe mode, press 1 or select NORMAL.

Basically the system volume is required to start up, and the boot volume contains the OS.

By default in windows XP when a user deletes files they go into the recycle bin where they reside until they are bumped out by other files the user deletes later. At which point they are actually deleted.

However when a file is deleted, the data still resides on the hard disk. Basically all the file system does is remove the file from its table of contents which leaves that dataspace open for use in the future whenever new files are written. The actual data will remain until that same space is allocated to another file & thus over-written. This is done for the sake of performance, as otherwise when you deleted a large file, it would take just as long to delete it as it did to write it. As it is, file deletion is near instantaneous.

There are utilities availble which can go through and recover and/or remove this hidden data. Recovering files in this manner is very hit or miss, many times the files will be corrupted or incomplete as most OS's are near constantly reading and writing to the hard drive, it is very likely -some- of the data will have been over-written.

If the file is not saved yet, "save" is pretty much the same as "save as"

but if the file is already saved somewhere in your computer:

"Save" will save the changes to the already existing file,

while "Save as" will give you the choice to save the changes where ever you'd like.

for example:

your file is saved at c:\myfile.doc

if you make changes and hit "save" , the changes will be saved at c:\myfile.doc

however, if you click "save as", you will be given the choice to save the file where ever you want (say c:\mynewfile.doc). the old file will remain the same, as if you never changed anything
