What is the history of the Deutsche Werk Werk Erfurt single shot 22 rifle?

when was the Deutsche werk werk erfurt 22 single made and what is the worth?

I was told by a gunsmith that they were made sometime after WW1 for export to improve the trade balance for germany. They were mass produced and sold cheaply.

They mostly have sentimental value. It was the first gun I ever fired when I was

6 years old. I still have it and am now aged 69.

What is the value of the mauser k98?

a K98 German rifle dated 1938 was obviously used in WW2 by the Germans. check end of barrel, underneath, to see if there is any 'import' mark. check to see if marks and numbers have been removed. check to see if all numbers match. check to see condition of bore.

Many, many K98 have been imported into the states and do not sell for much more then$200. Such imports are WW2 captured weapons by the Russians, and they have import marks. Any K98 NOT import marked has more value...................

Where do you find value of World War 2 japanese rifle?

The value of ANY firearm depends on the exact make, model, condition, and originality. For instance, a Excellent condition Japanese type 38 Arisaka, with the chrysanthemum marking intact (indicating captured in combat, not surrendered at war's end) might be worth $500, and a similar rifle with a ground off marking, and converted to civilian sporter style, might be worth $150. YOUR rifle will need a hands on assessment from someone that knows Japanese firearms. Check w/local guns shops, or take it to a local gun show.

Is a Winchester model 1200 Defender 12 gauge with 18 inch barrel a US government issued Defender?

The value of the gun depends on looks and all is around $200 I can say that the model 1200 trench/riot shotgun was made during the Vietnam era.It should have a parkerized barrel,mag.tube.and bayonet adapter, with U.S. marked on the barrel. It has a aluminum receiver with a black or matte finish.U.S. is marked under serial number. This is a very rare shotgun because very few have been released to the public, due to continued use by the military forces of the U.S.

How do you field strip a 1917 Enfield rifle?

Open the bolt and ensure the rifle is unloaded.

Close bolt, place the rifle ON SAFE.

Flip the latch at the back of the receiver and remove the dust cover, recoil spring, bolt and bolt carrier.

Use the tip of an FMJ bullet or a screwdriver to depress the button immediately behind the trigger guard. Push down until you hear a click. Remove the trigger assembly from the rifle.

Remove the barreled action from the stock.

By your rear sight, raise the lever 45 degrees, or one notch. Do not raise it 90 just yet.

Pull off the front handguard and gas tube. Remove the gas piston from the gas tube.

Raise the lever to the 90 degree position, but be careful. The spring the gas piston hits to operate the bolt is going to come out. And possibly very fast. Hold a towel in the action in front of the bore before the sight to catch it.

There you have it. You MUST clean this thouroughly when using corrosive ammo.

Reassemble in reverse order.

What info is on a dog tag line for line?

During WW2, there were 2 types of Dog Tags with different info. One dog tag was worn while in the US and the other type had less info while serving overseas---for security reasons.

During WW2, when the soldier went into combat, he was issued a dog tag that basically had his Name, Serial Number, Blood Type, Date of Tetnus Shot and Religion.

While in the States, his dog tag would give hometown and nearest relative.

These days, US Army dog tags as well as other military dog tags are embossed or engraved with the following information:

LAST NAME

FIRST NAME AND MIDDLE INITIAL

SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER

BLOOD TYPE

RELIGIOUS PREFERENCE

A good source for information on dog tags is SoldierCity.com. I just got a pair of official custom Army dog tags from SoldierCity, and they have a whole section on their custom dog tag page which explains historical and current information on what is actually embossed or engraved on a dog tag.

How much is your lee enfield worth?

The "jungle carbine" or to give it its correct name the Rifle No 5 Mk I is essentially a shortened and lightened No 4 rifle, designed to make it easier to use in the Far East and Burma. Due to the large conical flash suppressor, the No 5 Mk I could only mount the No. 5 blade bayonet.

Largely price on this will depend entirely on a couple of factors....

History: is it just an old bayonet, or was it use in battle, and can this be proved? A war weapon that has been used 'in the heat of battle' often fetches more from collectors who like genuine used war kit. If the bayonet just spent its time sat in a stores depot in Hong Kong, or Malaya, then it has no real history worth mentioning.

Condition: Is it still wrapped in the original waxed protective paper that it was packed in at the Enfield factory? Is it in the correct frog and scabbard used in the Burmese campaign? Or is it just a rusty old blade that's been sat in the back of a cupboard for years?

For all of these reasons, placing a price on it is not easy, a rusty old blade with no history may well sell for £5-10 on the UK eBay (about $10-20US) probably more if you try to sell it to yanks (they think British kit is desirable for some reason)

A 'used' bayonet in good condition with its original frog with some sort of supporting evidence will sell for anything up to £100 (about $200US) again more if selling to gullible yanks!

What is the Value of Mauser modelo Argentino 1891 Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabrihen Berlin?

It would depend on the type. There was a rifle, carbine, and engineer's model. If it was in good shape, I would say that the rifles would go for $150 to $200, the carbines for $160 to $210, and the engineers (which are fairly rare) for $250 to $300. Many of these rifles were sporterized and that would lower their value somewhat.

What is the value of a Springfield Armory 1911 .45 pistol 1 of 1000 gold embossed slide gold plated trigger serial number xx000?

Hm. Well the real question is, when was it made and where? Springfield are great collectors but only from where they were made and when. Like any other collectible, history behind the item is what gives the value as well. Find out where and when it was made and make sure it is not a copy or a remake. If so then it is worthless.

There is some information listed online about these types of pistols, but not much. To properly gauge the worth on the pistol, you will need to take it to a gun dealer or to a local gun show to find someone more educated in that era of firearms.

What is colt 1911 serial number 896896 worth?

as with all things value depends on condition...........if you try to sell to a dealer you would probably get about 70% of true value. best to research value your self and sell at a set price..........your pistol from 1917 COULD fetch $700 and up (condition). I believe your pistol production run may have been for the US Marine Corps. That would make for higher price. get a copy of the BLUE BOOK, it's worth it. Call 800 877 7867
