well i am the one that asked the question but i actually figured it out for most single cam cars just allign the crank shaft on top dead centre and on the cam shaft just point the marker or dot down towards the centre of the crank pully and fit the belt back on. easy as that!

Get under there and take the whole thing off. Undo the 2 main bolts that are 14mm.

disconnect the battery red cable. easier to take it off the battery and pull the whole cable out with the starter motor. Then start taking the large cylinder apart. Be a bit careful not to drop stuff on the floor because its all compression held by the 2 long skinny bolts.

I've gotten as far as getting the brushes out. Now need to get the right replacement kit because the auto parts guy sold me the wrong stuff.

The only way i know of getting a Nissan Skyline is by downloading a mod.
