On my 2000 model Opel Astra you press the distance counter button while the car ignition is of, then while pressing the button switch the ignition on (no need to start the engine) the `INSP` counter blinks for 3 seconds and the counter is reset. try to locate the radiator hoses there's only 2 of it one's the lower and other upper most of it are located on the upper hose going to the engine, its inside the thermostat housing. if you know what its look like

no remove the horn alternator will come through side of subframe

For this one you'll need a torque wrench and an angle gauge. Hope you are familiar with these. The values are 25Nm+600+600+600.

hold down the mileage reset then turn ignition on and until the InsP turns to ---- let the reset go and walla you can start the car or turn the ignition off

This works on my Corsa, think the same instrument panel is in the astra Not sure if anyone knows but you can reset your service inspection lamp on your Vectra C, Astra H and Corsa C & D with out the aid of any diagnostic tools.

Simply press the trip reset button on the dash at the same time press the brake pedal then switch on the ignition, keep brake and trip pressed for 10 to 12 seconds and hey presto its done!! If you already knew that i will go back and crawl into my shell

Check the overflow tank. Top up to indicated mark if necessary. When cool, remove radiator cap and top up rad with cleen water or coolant.

As i have found the only way is to take it to a dealership who have the saab kit to do it. Someone said you can do it through your ignition, not so. I paid £45 to have 2 new fobs programmed to my Saab. Which i think is value for money. Pentagon Vauxhall in Middleton. Plus you get a warranty, and good service from the staff.

inside the steering column trims there is a chip reader that is located around the ignition barrel , remove the wiring clip and then join pins 6 and 7 together with a bridging piece (small length of wire will do) and hey presto .........things arent allways as complicated as they seem
