Well the simple answer is that Ostriches evolved in Africa and never spread to India because they couldn't cross the Sahara.
However the Ostriches' are part of a related group called the Ratites which evolved on Gondwana.
(Gondwana was a super-continent made up of South America, Africa, Arabia, Madagascar, Antarctica, Australia, New Zealand and India.)
Ratites survive today as the Ostrich in Africa, the Emu and Cassowary in Australia, the Kiwi in New Zealand and the Rhea in South America, as well as by the extinct Elephant Bird of Madagascar and Moa of New Zealand. Why then would none be found in India? I simply don't know.
