St. Alban was a Pagan to begin with. He converted to Christianity due to the profound impact made on him by a priest whom he sheltered. In the end he was put to death, due to his refusal to give up the priest or his new Christian faith.

On the Pagan Wheel of the Year, we have Eight Sabbats (four Lesser Sabbats nd four Greater Sabbats). The Spring and Autumn Equinoxes and the Winter and Summer Solstices are the Lesser Sabbats, while Beltaine, Samhain, Yule and Imbolg are the Greater Sabbats. We also celebrate the 13 full moons of the year at rituals known as esbats (full moon rituals). Some traditions also have small rituals at the New Moon (or Dark Moon).

For a spelling checker algorithm to work, there has to be a list of words or a dictionary with correct words. The algorithm has to take each word and see if exists in the dictionary. If a word does not exist in the dictionary, it gets highlighted as a misspelling. To speed up searching a word in a dictionary, a computer program may use indexing and binary search etc..

A good Spelling suggestion algorithm may split a given misspelled word in to syllables and look for words that has as many syllables of the misspelled word in that order to list spelling suggestions. Most of the time, misspellings goes in vowels.

If it is your home and you are just about to move in - Start by walking into the house and speaking to it. Tell it who you are and that you want to move in and make it a home. if the feeling is negative or even just neutral it might be a good idea to smudge the building first. Once you have done that the "vibes should be better.

Once you have moved in a small ritual to bless the house and integrate the family into it would be a good idea. Light candles, call the elements and create a magical perimeter around the house (I use the exterior edges of the roof as my boundary), now invite your deities, state your purpose (to bless this house to your use) and take a moment to visualise your new home full of friends and family, happiness and health, prosperity and peace. Welcome the home to your life, acknowledge the deities, dismiss the elements, and ground the energies of the Ritual. Afterward share a bit of wine and bread with everyone or throw a house-warming party (do the blessing first, with just those who intend to love there, even if your friends are Pagan)

If the house is yours and you have been living in it a while it is best to do a thorough smudging then a blessing Ritual.

If the home belongs to someone else, on your first (or next visit) bring a small bag of sea salt, wrapped in a red pouch and tied with a green or gold string (for prosperity) a loaf of bread - homemade, or at least uncut (to ensure plenty), and a small gift (a living plant is a good bet) to the home owners.

In religion, a sacrificial lamb would be a possible example of sympathetic magic. The lamb dies as a substitute to avert our physical or spiritual death. Some faith healers palm chicken gizzards as "tumors" they remove from victims, in feats of prestidigitation magic.

I can't really think of good examples in main stream religions just off hand. Most of them tend to focus on spirituality rather than on the physical. The sacrament of the eucharist, eating the host, is symbolic--not really imitative. The same is true for baptism.

In order to block magic, you would need to be pro-active and protect yourself/loved ones/home from any harmful influences. Witches Bottles were commonly used for this, an ancient defence, known throughout folklore. It is made on an individual basis. The idea is to protect yourself and at the same time, send back whatever is being sent at you. You should never be the originator of harm, nor seek revenge, but you can protect yourself. To make a Witch's Bottle, take a bottle or a jar. Half fill it with sharp objects, also add herbs and crystals of protection. It should then be buried where it can remain undisturbed. So long as the bottle remains buried and unbroken, it will protect you from any evil directed against you. Other forms of protection include Amulets and Talismans. Talismans are active objects designed to give specific power, protection and encouragement to those that wear or own them. Amulets are intended for general purposes and usually provide reactive protection from danger, illness and ill-fortune.

I Ching is an ancient Chinese art of divination. Three coins are tossen upon three lines and nine diagrams are obtained. From those line diagrans, you have to refer to an I Ching book to read the result reading.

The word "Warlock" actually means Oath breaker or deceiver, and is not a commonly used term in Paganism. The opposite of Warlock is commonly accepted to be Witch. However, a witch is simply a practitioner of Magick, or a wise one, and the term applies to both genders.

If at all possible enlist the help of a pagan high priestess or priest . If you are new to the area seek out a suitable pagan circle to join. Make the home as physically clean as possible washing walls and floors etc. Locations can hold the energy of previous owners or events that have happened there. Introduce yourself to the home and let the spirits know you are there to help.

Burning dried sage, sweet grass or rosemary in a heatproof container is a powerful way to banish negative energies. Light the smudge stick and begin at the front door. Move around the house in a counter clockwise motion holding the smudge in front of you. When you reach a window circle the window counterclockwise asking that anyone or anything be barred from entering. Move the smudge over the window panes to make smoke "bars" across the window. When you reach an outside door, ask that only those with good intentions be allowed to enter and that any negativity is left outside. Don't bar the door, but circle it counterclockwise with the smudge. When you enter a room, travel around the perimeter making sure the smoke enters each corner.While smudging a kitchen you might ask that you wish this room to be a warm, inviting place for friends and family members to share good meals and company. End your house cleansing at the front door where you started. Bring blessings into your new residence symbolized by a number of things, for example: a loaf of bread for abundance, a dove refrigerator magnet for peace, a crystal cluster for harmony, a new broom for a fresh start and salt for prosperity. Soon after blessing arrange a feast with friends new and old. Bring out the food and drink and let love and laughter enter your new home.

A pentagon is a geometric shape with five sides. The pentagon is a building in the United States dealing with the military of the country. I do not think there is a "magic pentagon".

However, the pentagram (usually depicted as a star with a circle around it) is a common pagan symbol. These days it is associated with (but not exclusive to) those who practice Witchcraft. The practice of Witchcraft does not always include the practice of magic, nor the other way around.

If you mean the practice of magic or nature based religions it would help if you specified where. There were a vast multitude of varying cultures practicing regligions which might be called pagan all over the globe. And timeline for what? the rise and fall of different magic practing cultural beliefs? the obliteration of or persecution of "magic"? this question makes as much sense as asking for a timeline of motion during the 19th century.
