Persian Empire

At different times, under different ruling families, there were several different Persian Empires. Usually, the term refers to the Achaemenid dynasty empire founded by Cyrus the Great (559BC - 530BC) which was eventually conquered by Alexander the Great. What is your oppinion about Darius' use of satraps and his system of roads and messenger as ways to govern his empire?

Darius followed the rational approach of his predecessors in the Middle East - the Assyrian and Babylonian Empires, and his Persian predecessors Cyrus and Cambyses - in establishing provincial governors to oversee the efforts of the local governments of the cities, tribes and aristocracies. It was a good recipe because it worked. He fine-tuned the work of his predecessors, and it worked.

Communication in a pre-mechanical and aerial transport and electronic age was always a problem. The distances of up to 5,000 km were always a massive problem when you think of receiving intelligence and responding to it at 5km/hour - up to six weeks. He had two responses - use of boats on sea and river, and posting houses with relays of horses for roads. Having these established system in place provided the best available response to an otherwise impossible communications system, to allow governors and king to respond to problems in a timely way.

What happend in Persia in the bible?

This is a very interesting question as we watch what is being played out in Persia even today which is prophecy.

First, Iran of today is Persia, Remember that.

Persia is written in the book of Daniel, its part of a sequential order which leads to the final acts of this earth age. You will find the accounts written in Daniel 8 through 11, where the historical event proceed Daniel 7.

Persia as it is written in Daniel is an example of what we will experience in these days as we watch Satan rise to power as the Anti-Christ or Fake Jesus

Persia (Iran) will become financially strong by overtaking the OPEC oil business with its partner Russia (Esau). This will occur within probably 24 months of this writing and fulfills the scripture as written in Daniel chapter 8.

Persia will use its vast financial wealth in an attempt to turn all realms against the State of Israel (Judah) as it is written in Daniel 8.

The Air Forces of the West, will come against Persia and destroy its vast wealth and military forces as it is written in Daniel 8 and 11.

All of this will lead to the final 4 kingdoms described in Daniel chapter 7, one of them being the kingdom of Satan as he plays the role of the false christ (fake Jesus Revelation 13 & Daniel 7).

Persia (Iran) is therefore your metering rod, by which you can determine where we are in biblical prophecy as it relates to the end of this earth age (Daniel 7,8,11), the reign of Satan as the false christ (6th trumpet) and the final return of the True Christ (after Satans 5 month reign - Revelation 9), and at the 7th trumpet, probably in the 7th month (Late September from the Latin Septem meaning 7), on the day of the blowing of trumpets (Leviticus 23:24). Therefore Persia is very important both as an example and as the measuring rod for the events which are unfolding in the Middle East even as I am typing these words (April 2013).

Saudi Arabia is now surrounded and the Muslim Brotherhood (Russian Ally) has swept in behind Mr Obama's Middle Easter "Liberation wars" and taken over each country Mr. Obama has supposedly liberated... even Benghazi. Once surrounded, Saudi will fold under the Muslim Brotherhood and becomesubservientto Iran (Persia) and Shia control.

Iran (Persia) and its ally (Russia) will dominate the Middle Eastern Oil business, which will make them very wealthy and provide Russia dominant control over both the European Union and China as it controls their Oil supplies (pipe lines). This event will conclude within the next 24 months. America will feel the pinch as they are tossed out of the Middle East oil business as the reserve currency, causing the US dollar to fall by some 50% in value, almost overnight.

In the Book of Daniel (8,11,7) you will observe a succession of events where Persia gains control over Jerusalem, then Alexander the Great and then his 4 generals and afterword Rome (the iron) which is where Christ appears and is crucified. That same sequence is unfolding even today and will fall in line once more, except instead of Rome we will have the kingdom of Satan as he plays the role of the fake Christ and rules with an iron fist, as if he were Christ returned. The beginning of the sequence was the establishment of the State of Israel (Judah) in the land of Israel in 1948, just as it wasprophesied by Jeremiah in chapter 24. The remainder of the sequence is written in the books of Daniel, the Prophets, the Minor Prophets, the sermon on the mount and the book of Revelation.

Now you start to observe how significant Persia (Iran) and its actions are both as they were written historically (ensample) and how they are occurring before our very eyes today (prophecy being fulfilled).

Did Abraham have non-Jewish descendants?

ANSWER%

Yes, he did. Although the names of a person's descendants change, the name of their ancestors do not. In Bible prophecies a nation is not called by it's current name because that changes, but instead is called by the name of its ancestor or founder.

For example, despite being known as 'Persia' for thousands of years, in 1935 its name was changed to 'Iran', but it is still the same country. This means Bible prophecies applicable to today referring to 'Persia' actually mean 'Iran' today.

Abraham's eldest son was Ishmael:-

Gen 25:12 The Sons of Ishmael

This is the account of Abraham's son Ishmael,1whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's servant, bore to Abraham.

Gen 25:13 These are the names of Ishmael's sons, ... Nebaioth (Ishmael's firstborn), Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

Gen 25:14 Mishma, Dumah, Massa,

Gen 25:15 Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah.

Gen 25:16 These are the sons of Ishmael, ...- twelve princes according to their clans.

These 12 tribes are known as 'Ishmaelites' because they are descendants of Ishmael. They are basically the Arabs of today. (NB Persians are not Arabs!)

Abraham's younger son was Isaac he had two sons: Jacob(aka Israel) and Esau.

Abraham's grandson was Esau. He married one of his cousins, so she was an Ishmaelite.

Gen 28:9So Esau went to Ishmael and married Mahalath, the sister of Nebaioth and daughter of Abraham's son Ishmael, along with the wives he already had.

'Esau' is also known in the Bible as 'Edom' :-

Gen 36:1The Descendants of Esau

What follows is the account of Esau (also known as Edom).

Esau's descendants are known as Edomites.

When the Romans conquered the land of Edom they called it 'Idumea', and appointed Herod as a vassal king. Herod was not a jew: he was an Idumean or Edomite, and was an enemy of the jews.

So, Abraham's non-Jewish and non-christian descendants are variously known as the Ishmaelites, Edomites, and Idumeans.

According to Muslim tradition Muhammad was an Ishmaelite descended from the tribe of Kedar, but there is no proof of that [see Halabieh I, page 36]. What is known is that Muhammad's forebears and followers are anti-semitic, that is, anti-jewish and anti-christian.
