There are two areas on the strip. the area marked "c" is the control line and it will always appears unless the test has comprimised. If the "c" line does not appear you have a BAD test kit and you should get rid of it and try another. The other line (below the "c" line) will only appear if you test positive.

When placing the test kit in the urine sample DO NOT LET THE PLASTIC TOUCH THE URINE SAMPLE. After dipping test kit in sample:lay it flat on a clean, dry surface for five minutes. read results exactly at 5 minutes. if you wait longer than 5 minutes before reading the results you will not get an accurate reading.

The test is designed to cut off at 50 nanograms (military standard). If you test negative you could still be at 48 or 49 nanograms (positive) and not know it.

Right after you will bleed for 2-4 weeks and is not allowed to have sex. The test will show positive until the pregnancy hormones have settled which can take 2 months. After the bleeding your cycle will start all over again so then you can get pregnant.

It would probably be too early. I believe the fertilized egg doesn't implant until about two weeks after ovulation. And you don't produce the hormone until after the egg implants.

I believe it depends on how far along you are. The farther along the faster you see the line. Past experience with my youngest daughters 8 test (yes 8...I didn't want to believe it) and oldest daughters that how it worked. My oldest daughter was only a few weeks and it took awhile to see a line. However my youngest was farther along when she took the tests and it popped up immediately. Read the instructions in the pack.

Maybe you need to make an appointment to see your doctor and tell them what is going on. They can do a blood test on you to see if you are pregnant and if you are not, they will be able to find out what is going on. Yes. They say to get the most accurate results you should test 5 to 10 days after a missed period. Otherwise you could get a false negative. Also, with my first pregnancy I had light brown spotting around the time that my period was due. Good luck! =)

Only if the test is defective or you took the test incorectly.

If you have had unprotected sex recently then the missed period and the positive pregnancy test means that it is very highly likely that you are in fact pregnant.The next thing you should do is to go to your doctor they will do another pregnancy test etc and that way it will be confirmed. Don't back out because if you are pregnant (and the betting is you are) you are going to need to see a doc anyway.

The 2 blood tests are compared to see if the levels are rising. If your levels are rising you are pregnant.

Take a home pregnancy test or just go to your doctor and get bloodwork done to tell if you are pregnant

I also want to know the answer to this question!!! I found the link below and midwife Cynthia Flynn answered. I think she is right. I am terrified of needles and so far from both people I know and on the internet people have treated me like I am selfish for not wanting to get one. However, the choice is up to you. I went to have a urine pregnancy test and came out having had my first blood test ever! The doctor was male and treated me like a child. I complied at the time and since then have felt totally violated. No-one seems to understand. I asked him not to test for STDs or anything unnessesary as I've only been with the one partner and he's been tested. He smirked at me and wrote out the longest list of tests. It came back with over 1 A4 page full of tests! And they stored blood for some more if it came back pregnant which it did. However, I may never know the results because I was so put off I never went back to him and never will!
