Mary Ambrose's family as well as Robert Palmer's friends and family have clearly stated that Robert Palmer met Mary Ambrose socially in 1995 in San Diego, California. Palmer and Ambrose dated on an informal basis from 2000 to early 2003, per both of Robert Palmer's publicists, Suzanne Parkes and Elizabeth Freud. Ambrose's family has also corroborated that information, as well as Palmer's family. The veracity of this article is poor, the information provided in the article mainly incorrect, from beginning to end. Elizabeth Freud has publicly debunked this article posthoumously on behalf of her late client, Robert Palmer.
