Communication is a major bottleneck in case of any major disaster particularly when the traditional network system already in force break down. In order to strengthen communications, it has been decided that police network (POLNET) will also be used for.

The definition of what it is, is actually in your question. It's a receiver that operates in the radio frequency spectrum. Anything that has a transmitter is said to transmit in radio frequency or `RF`. The term radio is short for radiotelegraphy, which has become generic over the years.

Where does the radio frequency start? Technically, it' at 10,000 hz and higher. That's not to say that there's lower frequency transmitters (The U.S. Gov't uses 2 hz. to reach our submarines when they're under water, but that's more of an exception than the rule. The radio frequency spectrum can extend into the gigahertz range for things such as satellite communications, and as our technology advances, we could eventually see frequencies in the teraherts.

So a radio frequency receiver is anything that will receive a a frequency in the radio frequency range.

It is Alpine made unit and normally radio comes with security code printed on the code card. Code entry insturctions are provided in the manual.

In case you lost the code card, you can obtain the original code from dealers, but you have to proove ownership and provide the VIN of the car etc.

Radio waves and ultraviolet waves are the same physical phenomenon.
The difference is that radio waves have a much greater wavelength.
(That's equivalent to saying that they have a much lower frequency.)

Your radio and fan may have shoted out or the wrong amps are being used. If there isn't enough amps to run everything. The battery might not have enough juice, or there are wires touching somewhere.

This is an easy one. there are two fuses for the radio. they are both located in the same area. the drivers side kick panel. there's a little door that covers it and the door has all the fuses labled. if your missing the door my only advise for a quick solution is pull the fuses till you find the dead one. This involves removing the dash panel, and is very complicated and time-consuming. 1. Using a flat screwdriver (or another appropriate tool) pry off wooden and black decorative plastic panels from the dash board. 2. Remove dash vents. 3. Unscrew all dash bolts (do not forget the two bolts facing downwards behind the steering wheel, on top of speedometer and tachometer, and the bolts behind each vent). 5. Remove panels. 6. Now you can unscrew 3 bolts holding the car radio. 7. Pull it out and disconnect the wires from the back.

You will need a flat, phillips and a trox screwdriver.

Any time depending on your mood, like at night if you want to fall asleep or in the morning or day time if you're feeling anxious or just happy. It's probably not the best to listen to it if it's going to distract you from getting work done though.

This mainly depends on the way the radio is wired into the car.

If the radio is wired to a permanent live it will stay on when the key is removed,

If the radio is wired to an ignition or an accessory circuit the radio will go off when the key is removed.

Some radios have the facility to stay on for 20 minutes after the key is removed,

Fiat Panda is a good example of this.

They are not always different. If the communication is between two radios directly, only one frequency is used. This is called simplex operation. It works fine because only one radio is transmitting at a time.

When two radios communicate through a repeater to increase the distance, the repeater must simultaneously receive from one radio while retransmitting the signal to the other radio. A single frequency would not work because the repeater would only hear its own output. So, two frequencies are used. This is called duplex operation.

The above information is partially incorrect. Simplex and duplex do not refer to how many frequencies are used. They refer to the way traffic (data and voice) are sent and received.

The reason for different receive and transmit frequencies is for retransmitting (like stated above) and for satellite communications. Satellites receive on one frequency, then modify, amplify, and retransmit the signal on a different frequency to prevent bleedover.

I wouldn't say satellite radio did, to be honest. Though it's becoming a little more popular, it still isn't popular enough to change society. AM & FM radio's still where it's at, currently. And now both will be in competition with HD radio, but HD will go nowhere most likely.

It may have 2 fuses. A fuse in the fuse panel and an inline fuse, located somewhere on the power wire.

Did you mean BBC Radio 5 in the UK? If so did you mean Satellite or land based Broadcasts? For land based Transmitters it could be broadcast on several bands (MW and or VHF) on multiple frequencies.

It would work OK for FM radio frequencies (88-108 Mhz) in metropolitan areas, but poorly for AM radio which is 535-1600 Khz
