2b) Press the TV button on the Sky Remote
3) Hold down the select and red buttons for 2-3 seconds until the LED blinks twice
4) Press the TV button on the Sky Remote again
5) Enter the 4 digit code for your make of TV
6) The LED should blink twice, if not recheck the 4 digit code used and go back to 1
7) Press the standby button on the Sky Remote (The TV should go to standby)
8) Press select to store this setting
If the TV does not go into standby press the TV button then the standby button, then TV then standby, keep repeating this until successful. This will scan the codes used for a particular make of TV.

How do you use code identification to program 7 in 1 sharper image universal remote control?
I could not get the my Shaper Image 7 in 1 remote to program for my Vizio TV. The included codes did not work and neither did the "code identification" method included in the instructions. Tried these instructions off another website for a Sharper Image Jumbo remote and they worked! I had to hit the power button about 50 times before I hit the right code.
1 -Turn the device on that you want to use with the remote.
2 - Point the remote at the device and press the "Code Search" button the remote. Hold that button down for a few seconds and the LED lights on the remote will turn on.
3 - Press the mode button on the remote for the device you turned on.
4 - Start pressing the "On/Off" button located on the remote. Press "On/Off" once every two seconds until the electronic device powers down. This could take you several minutes because there are hundreds of different codes.
5 - Press "Enter" on the remote after the device turns off to save the code on the remote.
If you push the On/Off button too fast you might zip right past the code you want and have to start over again, so take it slow and concentrate on what you are doing.

Turn the TV and the DTV receiver on and be sure you have good batteries in the remote.
Using the Select button and the arrow keys around it on the DTV remote:
Menu Button>Parental, Fav's and Setup>System Setup or Setup>Remote>Program Remote>(there may be 1 or 2 more screens here depending on the DTV receiver model, just continue through them)>On the Devices screen select "TV">Select your television's manufacturer>STOP on the screen with the codes across the top.
1. Push the Mode switch on the remote all the way to the right to "TV". Ignore the on-screen display that says "TV Keys Aren't Programmed."
2. Push and hold the Mute Button and while holding it also push and hold the Select button until the green light above the Mode switch blinks once and then blinks twice in a row.
3. Enter the first 5-digit number you see on the screen into the remote's keypad. The green light will blink twice again.
4. Aim the remote at the TV and use the volume paddle. If the volume works, just push the Mode switch back to the left and your done. If it doesn't, repeat steps 2-4 for each successive number.
5. Write down the correct number. Be sure to push the Mode switch back to DTV before doing anything else.
