The books written by the peace keeper general Romeo Dalaire, shackle with the devil hands and by the well known American international law professor Samantha Power, America and the age of genocidewould give a clear fact to everybody the genocide committed against the moderate Hutu and Tutsi to wiped them out from the planet....how the French government sponsor the genocide by training the interhamwey militia, by supplying the armaments and created diplomatic obstacles at the security council meetings by using their position. The Strange thing is that both of the UN top post positions of secretary-Generals: Boutros Boutros-Ghali elected United Nations Secretary-General, (1992-1997) and Kofi Annan United Nations Secretary-General (1997 - 2007) are Africans themselves. Maybe the Americans will tell you that the problem in former the Yugoslavia and the killing of 18 American soldiers in Somalia and the like, was the reason they did not intervene, but it is impossible to defend their crime at the expense of one million innocent death. The Americans did not have any interest even to give a protection to those who worked in the American Embassy in Kigali, those Tutsis including the moderate Hutu prime minister was killed inside The American Embassy while the Rwanda Embassy in New York were properly functioned its devils duty without a problem. It would have been easy to minimize the massacre of the innocents just by jamming the radio which operate the genocide transmitted by the hard line propaganda Hutu militias, by sending signals from the American Embassy but the Americans didn't have any interest even to do this very simple duty, let alone to send peace keepers to Rwanda. The reason behind UN's decision is clear, The people of Rwanda are black. Which means they are "sub human" to them. This is the hidden psychology of the western politicians, they got it From Fredrick Nitcheze, just like Nazi Germany. And at the end of the day, Bill Clinton went to Rwanda to express his" heart felt and condolence" by putting down the flower on the memorial grave and skeletons of one million people. The tear of crocodile is drop when it swallows you. What I wonder, I checked his diary "my life" he passed it with a very few lines. After half century of the foundation of the UN, this human tragedy takes place in the heart of Africa. What have we learned from the holocaust? nothing but "how to save" such well planed genocide with 800 ganiyans and 450 Belgium soldiers only with out vehicles, food and equipment ...forget the malesians (because the went their for training ) so it is obvious for everybody who can compare and contrast the budget of the Rwanda peace keeper and the Bosnian peace keepers. Un celebrated its "golden Eyobelyo" with in this failures of humanity....still a lot of tyranny governments have full support from the world bank IMF and the westerners, there are a lot of flash points in Africa like Ethiopia to see such tragedy. The current Ethiopian dictator is still undergoing the divide and rule policy with a lot of preconditions to commit genocide like Rwanda on his "own people". The main idea of Hotel Rwanda is to show people what actually happened in 1994, as hardly any information got out about it.

It was also made to show the world Paul Rusesabagina. He was an ordinary hotel manager, saved over 1200 lives by letting them stay at his hotel. He stared death in the face more than once, and still kept his cool. He even said "To die without doing anything is a waste and a failure."

Many of the people that left Rwanda in 1994 went to different countries around the world. Rwandans can now be found in other countries in Africa, many countries in Europe and in America and other parts of the world.

The genocide took place in the context of the Rwandan Civil War, an ongoing conflict beginning in 1990 between the Hutu-led government and the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), which was largely composed of Tutsi refugees whose families had fled to Uganda following earlier waves of Hutu violence against the Tutsi. Most of the dead were Tutsis and most of those who perpetrated the violence were Hutus. The genocide was sparked by the death of the Rwandan President Juvenal Habyarimana, a Hutu, when his plane was shot down above Kigali airport on 6 April 1994.

It is also known as the Land of a thousand hills.
